Passive Income In Africa with Rina Hicks

Passive Income In Africa with Rina Hicks

On this episode, host Patrice Tsague welcomes Rina Hicks, a prominent figure in African finance, to discuss best investment practices for businesses and how knowing the best investment avenues can contribute to your passive income

Rina is a principal at Faida Investment Bank, the CEO of RH Group, and the creator of Investible, a financial investment product in Kenya.

In addition to her business ventures, Rina is a best-selling author, a highly regarded podcast host, and the recipient of multiple awards, including the Angaza Awards for Top Women to Watch in Finance in Africa in 2022 and the winner of the 2021 Nehemiah Week International Business Plan Competition. When investing in Africa, it's not just about the returns; investors can make a significant impact on the lives of the people they are helping. Many African companies are solving real problems and addressing critical needs, such as supply chain challenges, financial services access, and infrastructure development.

The case for investing in Africa lies in the diverse opportunities available across various sectors, including agribusiness, telecommunications, financial services, marketing, and sales. In contrast to markets like the US, where small businesses must innovate significantly to compete with large corporations, Africa allows entrepreneurs to create their own space and achieve remarkable results. By investing in Africa, investors can not only generate income but also contribute to the social and economic development of the continent.

Religious Freedom in the Marketplace

Religious Freedom in the Marketplace

Are you a Christian business owner struggling to exercise your religious freedom> Do you feel alone and unsure of how to navigate the tension between violating your conscience and religious expression and violating a governmental mandate? As Christians, we are called to have compassion, love our neighbor, and love those around us who may not live or believe like we do, but what do you do when you become the target of today’s Cancel Culture? Have you wondered, “What now? What next?” and uncertain where to turn to?

On this podcast, Patrice Tsague introduces Shannon Royce, President of the Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) and guest panelist on the January 25, 2023 Nehemiah E-Community Global Forum on Religious Freedom in the Marketplace: How to be Salt and Light in a Hostile Environment.

The CEA is an association of Christian-owned businesses whose mission is to unite, equip and represent Christian-owned businesses and to protect religious freedom in the marketplace. In this podcast, Shannon and Patrice explore the birth of the CEA out of Hobby Lobby’s lawsuit against a mandate of the US Government that violated the company owners’ ability to live out their Christian convictions and faith in the conduct of their business. In addition, they discuss how the CEA works to help Christian-owned businesses defend their right to exercise their constitutional religious freedoms and how they advocate for Christian-owned businesses to operate without fear of retribution or discrimination amidst Cancel Culture.

The Christian Employers Alliance is an easily accessible, affordable membership organization. It exists to provide education and solutions to help Christian businesses navigate marketplace challenges. It exposes Christian businesses to key congressional leaders and experts and creates opportunities for Christian businesses to have personal connections and support. In addition, the CEA provides advocacy and legal representation for Christian businesses in contesting legislative mandates that infringe on religious freedoms. Their third annual conference, which brings together each of CEA’s objectives, will take place at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, on September 28-29, 2023. Details will be available on their website.

A member of the CEA, the Nehemiah Project International Ministries has partnered with the CEA for the January 25th Global Forum on Religious Freedom. Bringing together public and private sector leaders, the Forum will discuss religious freedom and reassure and bolster every marketplace Christian brother and sister. If you’re looking for answers on how to live out your faith in the current environment that is increasingly hostile to Christian businesses, employers and employees, please register here to join us at the Global Forum on Religious Freedom on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10 am-12 pm Eastern Standard Time (7-9 am PDT).

The Gift of Business - EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with the E-Community Leaders

The Gift of Business - EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with the E-Community Leaders

Codebeautify.org Text to HTML Converter

For this year's Giving Tuesday, Patrice met up with E-community leaders across the globe to see the impact of their work, and the powerful stories behind their inspiring initiatives. The Gift of Business: Texas, USA First up is Trudy Hankins, who is the newest member on board. She's the director of the new E-community Center in Dallas Fort Worth that was launched on 14th September. Passionate about her mission and vision for the center, Trudy shares how it's helping to empower local entrepreneurs. The Gift of Business: Bulgaria Patrice also speaks to Arman & Petya Lalane, a couple working with Bulgarian biblical entrepreneurs. It's amazing how the pair manage to run their operations from California while supporting entrepreneurs in Bulgaria. Their story is a powerful testament to the power of global connection and support. According to Arman, when you impact 6% of entrepreneurs in a country, you impact the whole nation and its economy. Every dollar counts in making the training and coaching program affordable for Bulgarians. The Gift of Business: Florida, USA Patrice also talks to Samuel Lowry, who amazingly works alongside his mom Ana Maria Lowry who's the founder and CEO of A & P International and director of the E-Community Center in Orlando, Florida that works with the Hispanic community. Seeing that the Hispanic community is the largest minority group in the USA, the Orlando Center offers training and coaching programs in both English and Spanish. Samuel also points out how they are supporting immigrants by assisting them in starting businesses and leading to financial freedom--and that donor funds would help them make an even greater impact. The Gift of Business: Asia Pacific Moving on to Asia, Patrice speaks to Poh Sim Saw, the director for the Asia Pacific region to discuss the impact of the Nehemiah Project. Poh Sim Saw explains how the Nehemiah Project is helping to empower Asian entrepreneurs to build sustainable enterprises and businesses, tackling issues such as poverty, and lack of access to resources. She shares an inspiring story of Joy and Jino, a couple that took second place in the International Business Plan Competition this year. They were only able to do so because they received a subsidy for the BE Course, which they otherwise could not afford. Poh Sim Saw explains that the success of Joy and Jino shows that through Nehemiah Project, they are able to provide access to resources and knowledge to people who would not have had it before, and make an impact through job creation, economic empowerment, and social development. Donating to our cause will go a long way in Asia. Many entrepreneurs need help launching their businesses, and with your donation, we can continue translating our courses into Mandarin, Hindu, and Thai. The Gift of Business: Nairobi, Kenya To wrap it up, Patrice speaks to Frank Kitonga, the Founder of Blueflame International and Country Director of Nehemiah Project Kenya. Kenya has had great success in the International Business Plan competition having won the last three years in a row. Frank explains how Nehemiah Project has helped entrepreneurs there to access capital, build businesses, and create jobs, giving examples of the current IBPC winner, Dominic Gitau, who grew up in the slums but has managed to transform his life and is creating employment to help other people in his community, and that of Rina Hicks, who won the IBPC in 2021, and is making a difference through financial inclusion. Nehemiah Project Kenya has also managed to start a radio station, Hope Fm which is among the top three currently in Kenya and hopefully will make it to the top when they include programs in Swahili. Frank also hopes to have the BE, Business Success Accelerator, Identity and Destity and the Sustainable Church Initiative programs trans

Disrupting the Auto Collision Industry - EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with Guest Juan “Charlie” Rodriguez

Disrupting the Auto Collision Industry - EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with Guest Juan “Charlie” Rodriguez

The auto insurance and auto collision industry is experiencing a major disruption!

Today, Patrice Tsague sits down with Juan “Charlie” Rodriguez, the founder of Allyz Auto, a cutting-edge company that is redefining how cars are repaired and challenging the ‘modus operandi’ of the auto collision industry.

Ally’s Auto is a pro-consumer, pro-fairness auto repair shop located in Orlando, FL. Certified with 15 different auto manufacturers, Allyz Auto’s mission is to perform auto repairs without deceiving, cheating, or stealing from their consumers from two angles.

First, by following strict manufacturers’ data standards for every repair, and secondly, by protecting customers from the unscrupulous business practices of insurance companies. Juan explains that his company's vision is to completely transform the auto collision industry by being an ally for vehicle owners and an example to collision repair professionals.

Juan reveals how the auto insurance industry is in league with numerous collision shops as well as car dealerships to award the least compensation and provide the lowest repair service for the sake of company profit. Mr. Rodriguez's difference in the industry not only lies in his military training in Air Force mechanics and his ability to employ manufacturer specs and repair data to all his repairs, but also in his application of Biblical principles of excellence, integrity, and service.

A loving husband and father, Juan Rodriguez is also a Biblical Entrepreneur and a passionate advocate for Nehemiah Project’s Identity and Destiny Class. He is a Kingdom investor with Nehemiah Project’s Global Kingdom Investor’s Network, and was the 2022 recipient of the Nehemiah Project’s Biblical Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Here’s the video in case you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pypC48AceI

Juan's story and his work in the auto collision industry is more than could be adequately covered in this podcast. Enjoy this segment of Juan "Charlie" Rodriguez's story and stay tuned for Part 2 and possibly Part 3!

Passive Income Global Forum EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with Guests Lonny and Sherri Hutchison

Lonny and Sherri Hutchison are childhood sweethearts who grew up together, fell in love, got married, had children, built a business, and now enjoy the freedom of living on their passive income. Lonny and Sherri join Patrice in this podcast to discuss their spell-binding journey to financial freedom, and it is one that you will not want to miss.

From the humble beginnings of graduating high school into a blue-collar job, Lonny shares how he realized he had nothing to lose by being the owner of the business he worked in. He started taking contracts and slowly built clients to the point where he employed a dozen people. Sherri worked the business systems side while he grew the technical side till the business hit the ceiling and they needed to pivot to remain sustainable.

The couple made a few mistakes along the way, and God, in His providence, brought them to Nehemiah Project International Ministries, where they started coaching with Patrice Tsague. Nehemiah Week 2022 is ongoing, guys! Yesterday we had an amazing day with our guest speakers on Nehemiah Week 2022 Day 2. Here's how our program went:

Devotion

The Nehemiah Week 2022 Day 2 program started with devotion by Pastor Noela Lumande, who emphasized that change is inevitable.

As business leaders, however, we must learn to adapt to change and use it to our advantage.

"Change shouldn't kill your dreams, it is an opportunity to bring up the dream, vision, and leadership within us."

Operational Excellence

This was followed by a talk by Patrice Tsague who talked about Operational Excellence. What does it mean to operate in excellence?

It is a discipline we must cultivate in ourselves and instill in our teams to produce quality results consistently.

"The highest calling we have as Biblical entrepreneurs is to be the witnesses of God. You must operate in excellence at all times!"

Building Your Adaptive Advantage

Susan Schramm came in to talk about 'Building Your Adaptive Advantage.

"Referring to Pastor Noela's talk on the reality of change, Susan said that as entrepreneurs, we need to be adaptable so that we can survive and thrive in the midst of change. We need to have an adaptive advantage!

She went on to say that the first step to being adaptable is acknowledging that change is inevitable and that we need to embrace it instead of resisting it. We need to create a plan and take action steps that will help us weather any storm.

A Kingdom Company's Journey to Excellence

We also had Julius Thiong'o, who talked about the 7S model, which he said is very relevant in the current business environment.

The 7S model stands for Strategy, Structure, Systems, Skills, Style, Shared values, and Staff.

He said that in order to be successful, organizations need to ensure that all of these elements are aligned and working together towards a common goal.

Setting Priorities

Andy Mason talked about the importance of setting priorities to continue to operate in excellence.

He said that we need to be clear about our priorities so that we can focus on what's important and let go of what's not. "

A Biblical Key For Prosperity

The last guest speaker for Nehemiah Week 2022 Day 2 was Sorin Backer, who talked about 'A Biblical Key For Prosperity'. "The words we speak condition our minds."

Our words have power, and we must be careful about what we say. We should speak words of life, hope, and faith.

We also had breakout sessions between speakers where participants could interact and discuss what they had learned.

Nehemiah Week 2022 Day 2 was amazing, and if you're not already signed up, you are missing a lot.

Africa Regional Business Plan Competition Winner

Africa Regional Business Plan Competition Winner

Patrice Tsague hosts the Africa Regional Business Plan Competition Winner and founder of Joy Fresh Produce- Dominic Gitau to talk about his business and what it'll mean for him and his business should he win the International Business Plan Competition.  Dominic is a young biblical entrepreneur from Kenya who is passionate about agriculture and food security. Through his company Joy Fresh Produce, he seeks to provide quality fresh produce to not only Kenya but the world. He also plans to use his business to create employment opportunities for youth in Kenya's rural areas targeting about 600 full-time employees in the next five years.  In this episode, an enthusiastic Dominic takes us through his life, having been brought up in the slums by a single mom who struggled to make ends meet. Dominic also talks about how he was always determined to succeed and change his family's fortune and his journey of finding Christ which influenced his decision of going into biblical entrepreneurship.  Dominic is going against Jeniffer from France (Europe region) Jason Centeno from the USA (the North American region), and Jino and Joy from India (Asia region) to compete for the top prize in the International Business Plan Competition.  He stands a chance to win up to $11,000; the winner takes home $10,000 and the audience gets a chance to vote for their favorite entrepreneur to win the People's Choice Award of $1,000. All hope is not lost if he misses out on the top prize as there are also consolation prizes of $5,000 for the first runner-up and $3,00 for the second runner-up.  This is a lot of pressure for Dominic but he is not new to competitions as he has always been a go-getter and has always strived to be the best.  He's been part of the Nehemiah E- Community for three and a half years,  and he is confident that this time has prepared him enough for the competition.   "This is not my win, it is the win for Kenya, the win for that farmer, the win for the community, and the win to the Glory of God...'' Dominic says.  "My message to the world is that we can achieve anything we set our minds to do. If a slum boy from Kenya can make it this far, then anyone can," he adds.  Dominic's story is one of hope and inspiration, showing us that no matter where we come from, we can achieve great things if we set our minds to it.  You can help Dominic win by voting for him on the People's Choice Award. Simply sign up for our upcoming event: Nehemiah Week on our website https://en.nehemiahecommunity.com/.   Sign up using this link and get a 50% discount!  We've got amazing events lined up starting from the 14th of August through the 20th. Finally, we'll have our awards ceremony on the last day where we'll be announcing all the winners of the International Business Plan Competition.  So don't forget to register and vote for Dominic on the People's Choice Award. Why Sustainable Church

Why Sustainable Church

When we are defining a sustainable church we talk about different steps in building a spiritually vibrant church that is financially viable with a successful congregation committed to impacting culture until Jesus returns.

Many churches are undergoing quite a number of challenges because they have not built a thriving community that embraces one another for growth, support and market place revelation. There have been a huge gap in our churches today in a way that most pastors do not realize that market revelation and realization is something that can actually build their interactions with one another.

Generations come and go, but the church would always remain to be same. If you want to be unique and stay for the longest time without being affected by economic, social or political tribulations you must build a culture of commitment amongst your audience.

When a church has an established culture over years, gaining unbreakable reputation is premium for the longest time. A sustainable church should be holistic in all dimensions, and this is important not only for the church but also in representation of the body of Christ.

At times the society demands the presence of the church in addressing some critical issues that affect them. It is for this reason that, most advanced societies would want to associate themselves with established church that are well known for sustainability in difficult situations.

Different groups of people would want to be associated with a church that builds their faith, impacts in almost all the factors surrounding them. The expansion of churches globally has caused the atmosphere to have a very difficult appeal to the society, the rise of splinter groups within the subsets of the church is alarming.

When you are a pastor and the goal is to oversee a church that stays for long and accommodates the entire society without bias, you need to emphasize on building the foundation under Christ. Some few people will always be there to destroy an established foundation in the society but under Christ, everything is deemed secure for future.

A sustainable church will always be a bride to Christ and society’s hope at all times.

Africa Virtual Summit on Investment

Africa Virtual Summit on Investment

Africa Virtual Summit on Investment

Investment is a need for any business owner or brand in the market today. Most people find it hard to execute maximally investment strategies, this will go a long way in planning their investment strategies. Africans have been clustered to be one of the poorest when it comes to better investment strategies.

For what most brands don’t know is that investment is actually a potential way of putting your money/wealth into work with a guarantee of plowing back profit in form of Assets. God puts a burn in the hearts of business owners to invest for the future growth of the community and society privileged to enjoy the proceed of their businesses.

Raising billion dollars a year for brands might look like an uphill task, but that can be solved when an investor chooses to care about the returns and be proud of trying to actually realize the billion dollars mark as projected.

Not everyone would know how to save and invest. Such instances are connected always by circumstances such as psychological behaviors, age, and demand just to mention a few. Competitive returns are quite risky when trying to build an investment strategy. When the capital is good, the offer to return will also blossom a great deal.

When you combine capital and an optimistic heart in your business the positivity in returns will be automatically guaranteed. The goal for your investment strategy should be educational in every step, no one knows how to invest on the first try.

Many entrepreneurs in Africa fear risking it all for investments that guarantee returns. Why should they make this choice no matter the risk? Entrepreneurs should have an unimaginable desire to make the future better than what they have now.

This is even near the heart but away from the performance. However, working in faith and reminding self to take one step after another brings more joy that is accorded to even living in a moment than anything else.

In summary, the amount of investment a business owner can have is always tied to the risk or amount of market tolerance a business has in the industry. Taking some risk is really necessary when you aim to expand. Africa has an open space for business owners to expand, it’s just a matter of time before such needs would be exploited aggressively in the future.

Too much risk will lead to high investments and vice versa of the same if not done well!

Leadership_ The Key to Scaling Your Business

Leadership_ The Key to Scaling Your Business

Leadership: The Key to Scaling Your Business – EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague with Guest Anne Beiler.

Many entrepreneurs are facing a huge challenge in trying to make their businesses better. Clients come to your business because they are struck and stuck, yet such businesses can’t handle them. Some businesses have hit glass ceiling trying to scale because of so many things; Pretending to be something they are not.

Lack of knowledge to scale up and grow your business may feel slightly scary by the prospect. Every business has a story, and all these stories are accelerated by the need of the owner to achieve something for themselves. Sometimes it is driven by internal factors, psychological demands, and level of skill set or expertise.

Some of the most important items that will help you scale your business actively and aggressively is by introducing family into your business model. Let everything be guided by the principles of hope and life. By focusing on what you want to be and not what you are is very important.

By employing a culture of religion into your business, you will be taking yourself a notch higher compared to those in your surroundings. (Christ in a working). You must be ready for growth at any time – this will help you generate more force in your performance in the market.

Sometimes, a business built in a family setting, risks of abuse and negative collaboration may arise. This calls for more counselling of the entire team and even the executive themselves. When we hear different success stories in business, we all have that greener side of the leaf because everything is at the “Rest Stage.”

Successful business people, have stories that not only ties them to their business alone, but also family, religion and culture. When all these factors are catered for and brought to optimum, success will automatically reflect in your business. It might not be easy because of other one or two few factors, like capital and technology, but with a plan you will be guaranteed of a slow but steady approach for in the market.

If you want to scale your business, you need to have a purpose about other people, Have a great product for the market and society and also surround yourself with a team of great experienced people. Great businesses focus on these key points. Being a charismatic entrepreneur, you must have a goal of building a community cohesive brand that elevates the community surrounded.

There are a lot ways you can think of when it comes to scaling your business, however when you don’t deal first with yourself, then it would be hard to replicate the same in your business, staff and family.

2022 Africa Regional Competition – EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague, Gabriel Oleko and Frank Kitonga.

2022 Africa Regional Competition – EC Podcast: Host Patrice Tsague, Gabriel Oleko and Frank Kitonga.

2022 Africa Regional Competition

Africa is a land of vast business opportunities. Looking at the number of startups and the increasing need for venture capitalists to invest in Africa we find that, the future of many economies lies in Africa.

In the coming years, Africa’s position with so many countries living under the poverty line, political problems, and diseases have a greater advantage of growth than other countries because of the need to invest in Africa, Empower Africans, and Build Africa.

When we look at how entrepreneurs in Africa come up with their different business models, all aiming at improving the state of their societies, we find out that Africa has the ability to grow economically, socially, and politically exponentially.

Despite the corruption and economic subjugation, Africa is still the place where systems demand to be built. There is actually a lot of space to build in Africa in terms of Infrastructure. If you don’t invest in Africa now, you will be losing the biggest chunk of the future economic powerhouse.

When we look at the youngest active population that’s making purchases come from Africa. The intellectual population growth in Africa is quite demanding for the economy. This is the reason why it’s defined as a land of vast underutilized opportunities.

However, there are so many challenges in Africa for Entrepreneurs; corruption, poor policies, and political instabilities just to mention a few that scare away investors. This has been cornered by the advancement of technology, the implementation of Godly principles that guide entrepreneurial journeys.

The growing democracy in Africa has also opened more business opportunities for the continent. The demand and sense of nationalism has been growing, People want to see the future of their livelihoods and their children improve, that’s why we have foreigners in Africa helping the population grow.

African leaders need to come together and vouch for more open business investments from external philanthropists. These leaders are the experts, entrepreneurs, and sporting activities leaders. Africa is developed and that’s something that is driving the willingness to build Africa.

A call to action is for more investors to come and employ more Africans in more scalable opportunities. Some Africans want to leave their continent for better opportunities in foreign worlds, without realizing how incredible Africa it is to the world; when there realize it later, it becomes more surprising to see them come back and start their own robust businesses too.

This is what the bible teaches us when it comes to the pursuit of wealth and growth. (Hunger, intelligence and willingness to work)

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Cyprus

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Cyprus

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Cyprus – EC Podcast: Patrice Tsague with guest Antony and Naomi Vasili

When it comes to building a robust business, all you need is support. Most businesses fail because they do not receive the right kind of spiritual guidance that can strengthen them in the market.

As a couple who have the desire to build a successful business, it is always advised to first understand each other, so that you can achieve the fundamental values of working cohesively.

Businesses built on the foundation of Christ would certainly perform very well because so many things might happen along the way but with Christ, you can do your duties and let God complete the rest.

The growth of biblical influence on couples in business has grown a long way as many people now discover this as the right trajectory for building a robust economy.

When couples have to trust the surety of working together is always at its peak. This trust is the foundation of good listenership and performance in the market.

A good man will always trust in his wife by realizing the Godly ways of working as a team. The bible advises individuals to focus on building one another when love is there. This has greatly impacted how humble couples want to view the bible in business.

Some of the key values that entrepreneur couples need to avoid is “Overthinking”. With an open mind toward biblical teachings, couples can perfect so many things in business.

While championing for greater understanding of the bible, it is clear that most people now would love to work with their couples than friends because of the closeness in belief, therefore it’s always important to be open to one another.

While profits are always a very critical component and are necessary to secure the capital needed to serve the community, profits are not the reward — they are the means. For those in business, or those who want to start over, seeking biblical advice will help build a foundation that no other entrepreneur who is a non-believer wouldn’t try top demolish.

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Haiti

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Haiti

Biblical Entrepreneurship in Haiti

Biblical entrepreneurship is about helping others achieve more by giving them networks is one of the kind ways of living a good life. By the idea of building better through biblical teachings that would guide others have the best entrepreneurship growth is a blessing.

When you set your goals that you want to achieve this you will have to commit to hard work, focus, commitment and the desire to walk with God. Everyone wants to be in a community that’s connected, a community that makes them grow together.

The entrepreneurial thread of life is very thin but tight. Sometimes it has challenges, at the same time it makes you tough to believe you can. Sometimes we meet people who don’t understand the needs of us in the market, all we do make is them believe.

Valuing God and seeking his intervention in every step you take is so important. A community living in cohesion and helping each other grow is a community guided and protected by God. As a leader and a person who is focused in his entrepreneurial goals you’ll have to be close to God.

Sometimes you will discover you are not just doing it for yourself, but for the sake of those who come next after you. A generation built in the foundation of working hard and leaving the next generation something to be proud of makes God happy.

The community wants to connect with someone who sees the vision bigger than them. This is appellate to every like-minded entrepreneur. Therefore you should focus on living for growth. Don’t forget to trust yourself and the people next to you.

We should always remember that the score card is always important. You’ll have challenges along the way in finding yourself, as a starter but don’t lose the race and the pace.

Biblical entrepreneurship is one of the best topics you can ever enjoy anytime. When we want to build a community of like-minded business leaders, growing together, we ought to consider the important calling from God, which are now the Biblical Entrepreneurship Principles!

In the end, we all want to be happy. We all want to connect with each other and grow easily, by being a leader you putting yourself at the forefront to guide others. Having a hub that will bring all of them closer would minimize many differences and increase the opportunities of sharing ideas and borrowing from each other.!

A family brainstorming is so important at this stage, let ideas flow, and allow each other to meditate on the long-term effect of the idea. Build up together on each gap. Once the idea impresses the visual goals of what you want together then you can now support each other.

Getting an idea is a great thing!

The next wise idea is to analyze the industry, and how other players in that field of your idea. Determine the core differences and spot a market gap. This is often called “SWOT analysis” simply checking the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

This is a very important part. Being a couple you’ll often bump into each other, but you’ll know how to navigate that.

Let God always be your anchor. Let him guide most of your decisions as a couple. It’s always important to believe that there is someone who will always take care of you. And that’s God!

A business that has the presence of God in it will always thrive. You pray for each other, and you encourage each other every day. That’s how you’ll find yourself up.

Allow the decisions that you also make in your business to be guided by Godly intervention. Good businesses have grown and even survived during the pandemic have been these small businesses run by couples.

There are plenty of reasons to commend your spouse for the choice of finally deciding to work together. Best but just a few of these are like;

· You put your minds together.

· You both are accountable to each other.

· The ability to focus is high.

· Assisting others to grow will always be your priority.

· You will always be close to each other.

Find yourself a nice spouse and try out a business together! You’ll be amazed.

There are challenges, but the focus is always important when you find it hard for each other. Allow them to respect each other and balance between work and love. Go for dates, find God, and make each other happy when the distance begins. There will always be no challenges.

You can start today and see how it flows. However, patience, hard work, and integrity should always be your anchor. Let God be part of you. And you’ll be what you dream for!

Cultivating Good Soil through entrepreneurship in Africa

Cultivating Good Soil through entrepreneurship in Africa

Cultivating Good Soil through entrepreneurship in Africa

Many people have a misconception that you have to go to college in order to get blue/white collar jobs yet you can easily start a successful business for yourself. Being authentic in business is one of the most important things. It is always good to risk it out if you don’t have the perfect idea to execute.

A good entrepreneur will have vision and most at times the family has a great impact in what you do. You can choose to start out with something you can easily do which can become an anchor to your next level of becoming a better entrepreneur.

A good business strategy will always have all the factors catered for. When it comes to creating a good business strategy as a practice, you have to build yourself structurally well, this will include your marketing initiatives, the operationalization of your company, target audience.

All you need is focusing two things, understanding your target audience and putting extra time into your work. When it comes to entrepreneurship you need to always have a culture of trying to outmaneuver your competitors, which can be translated into being one step ahead.

When a customer calls you, all they need is value from your products, how you serve them, interact with them and even how you reach out to them. A good business will encourage you to challenge yourself.

Challenge yourself in building better, being different and accelerate more ROIs than any other player in the same sector you are in. There are always a culture of repeat needs when your customers believe in what you give them, whether it’s a service or a product.

Also, tied to yourself is the team that you want to grow with. A cohesive set of mindsets that want to achieve the same goal of business satisfaction as you are. You can start from scratch! You don’t have to generate a lot of money so that your business can a flourish that fast or even achieve the bigger goals within a short time, it will time, but it’s really worth it. Every good entrepreneur you see out there started from scratch, they learnt what they have now along the way. You can also be a good one when you leverage on the best keys to success. Innovation is so important in business, how you approach the market and how you execute your traction within your niche will make your account for the end results you have. This can be replicated to when you are doing a competitor analysis for your business. When it comes to partnerships, sometimes the family might or might not be the right plug for you. However, having an open communication channel and understanding who you are in a business perspective can be one way of killing the shots that may arise as hindrances to business growth. The whole idea of cultivating a good soil for your entrepreneurship is really massive, therefore it is important to always incorporate biblical values into your business. Try to infuse Godly presence into your vision and mission, and also the way you are hiring, bring on board a team that has the right alignment with the rest of you, this is work spiritual culture. Putting your business in the presence of God will automatically make you innovative, focused on what you do something that your competitors will become unwilling to do. This is the strongest ground you can stand on when you want to have a steady and bumper growth in the entrepreneurial journey. Always staying focused on the things that you can control and the things that you can’t control let them go. At the same time it’s good to make worthwhile adjustments that infuse some Godly presence in your entrepreneurial journey. Building a successful Kingdom Coaching Practice

Building a successful Kingdom Coaching Practice

The goal of establishing a kingdom coaching business is to help business owners set up systems that allow them to upscale their businesses and then prepare for succession and exit. This means providing them with the resources and support necessary for their business journey.

Building a successful kingdom coaching practice can be quite challenging. This is because in the beginning, most kingdom coaches go through a phase of uncertainty and self-doubt commonly known as the Imposter Syndrome where one may feel like they are not qualified enough to coach others. Herein lies the true meaning of working for the glory of God. No matter how inadequate we feel or how little qualified we are, God steps in and qualifies us.

David Robertson CEO and Founder of Growthpoint Coaching Co. says that his journey to building a successful coaching practice was filled with a lot of hurdles and failure until he realized that he had been running his businesses for the wrong purpose and it wasn’t until he started working for the glory of God that his coaching business grew to the success it is in now.

We know God works in mysterious ways and at some point in this journey to coaching success, David shut down his business for 18 months which meant his wife taking up financial responsibilities for all that time. It is here that David took his time to listen to God and he finally had a breakthrough!

Through it all, David says that he realized that in the midst of it all, it was not his business, his position as a coach or results that gave him significance but Christ did. And this opened up many doors for him and eventually got featured on Forbes as the number one on the article for an expert panel on business builders. After a few months the President of Forbes councils offered him and his company a coaching job which forced him and his family to move to Dallas in the middle of a pandemic where he has seen great success.

In conclusion, if you desire to have that successful coaching business, let God always be the source of provision. Allow yourself to be led by a King(Jesus) and success will be yours.

Living in Purpose

Living in Purpose

Living in Purpose.

Living in Purpose means aligning your values and beliefs with what truly matters to you.

On this podcast Chief Servant Officer Patrice Tsague , talks to Mr. Yannik Mckie, founder and center director of Living in Purpose.

Mr. Yannik Mckie, an expert on purpose and mental toughness says that mental toughness is the ability to be able to leverage pain for the benefit of purpose. Losing both his parents before turning 16 years old, Yannik got first-hand experience in learning how to turn obstacles into stepping stone.

As a young man, Yannik was struggling to cope with the effects of his father's extramarital affair. Trying to understand why God allowed him to go through such pain, he had difficulties trying to navigate his manhood and purpose.

It was only much later that he understood that within all of that aggravation was reason and purpose. At times we need to get to the reason and the thriving, attempting to avoid difficulties. He continues to sy that he understood that more often than not, it's really inside that torment that we will track down our most noteworthy degree of direction.

As a mental toughness coach, Yannik helps executives and entrepreneurs around the make better decisions in the midst of their challenges so that they can maximize their peace, productivity, and passion for life.

On that journey to find your purpose it is important to not lose your hope. Remember that God loves you and that your pain, whatever it is, can be leveraged for purpose. Let someone know you're struggling. Ask for help. Keep your hope alive. Do not suffer in silence. You are not alone.

Finish-A Personal Journey in Philanthropy

Finish-A Personal Journey in Philanthropy

Finish-A Personal Journey in Philanthropy

The M.J  Murdock Charitable Trust was founded 47 years ago with a mission is to build relationships for a common good. They support the growth of Pacific Northwest nonprofits and their focus area Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington through grantmaking, enrichment programs, convenient strength in the region, education, social, spiritual, culture-based that are innovative and sustainable. So far, the trust has helped over 3000 organizations in the region.

Steve Moore, Executive Director of the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust has been in the organization for 16 years and he says that over the years, the trust has worked to help organizations as they seek to better fulfill their mission and build their own capacity to fulfill that mission.

Having started his journey from the education sector from which the people are not known to be exactly flexible and innovative, Steve Moore says that his own experience with education made him an innovative educator. Because the Murdock Trust aligned with his values, he says he saw the potential because of the enormous impact at a moment in people's lives to be able to shape, form, and guide people and this led him to join the organization.

Murdock Trust helps companies write their grants and a full resource document “Writing Great Grants” is on the website. It basically tells you, here's the thing that foundations are looking for whenever they get a grant application.

Over the years the trust has helped many companies raise a lot of money and thus all begins with good stewardship over the years and stewardship and generosity go together. If you're a good steward, you're able to be more generous. Those are some twin principles the company operates from when we're making its investments, and they try to find not quick returns.

Steve adds that as a company, the Murdock Trust tries to be a good generous steward. Being generous means being able to distribute the resources by giving good grants.  In this philanthropy journey, he says that there is an ecosystem of philanthropy where there are foundations that give while others receive.

He acknowledges that his transition to philanthropy was smooth because he had mentors to walk with him. As he finishes his journey in philanthropy, Steve Moore says that he will spend his next season encouraging and increasing and helping people as they seek to be philanthropic and contributing where necessary.

We, The Nehemiah Project wish Steve all the best as he finishes his journey in philanthropy.

Victorious You Press

Victorious You Press

Victorious You Press began with a purpose. A purpose to help people deliver their stories.

Joan T. Randall the founder of Victorious You Press says that the publishing company helps faith based leaders and spiritual thought leaders write and publish their best-selling book so they monetize their impact build a business and create legacies.

Joan has recently partnered with the Nehemiah Project to minister a new course for writers called The Power of the Pen. At the moment, Joan is working with Chief Servant of the Nehemiah Project, Patrice Tsague on a book that he had previously published in 2009. This as we might call it is the true test of what can be expected of Victorious You Press as a new partner.

The book, Nothing But a Jar of Oil was previously published but together Victorious You Press and Patrice are working on a second edition to make it a best seller. According to Joan, the process of republishing a book starts with looking at previous reviews and carefully mapping out what can be done differently.

As an Author and Founder of Victorious You Press, Joan brings a fresh and innate enthusiastic outlook on writing and publishing that is contagious as she understands the power and impact of the pen as she coaches people to learn how to use their own words to create change. Over the years Joan has helped over 400 people publish their books.

Victorious You Press is driven by five core values that can be emulated. That is : “It is live. It is learn. It is love. It is lead. It is legacy.”

This means living each day in accordance to how God wants us to live, with impact. Learning because we're always students of our business. Loving because we build relationships with our clients. Leading because we give our clients skills and lastly is leading a legacy because everything that God has placed inside of us it is not just for us it is to impact those we come in contact with because of the great commission.

Emerging as a Kingdom Business Leader.

Emerging as a Kingdom Business Leader.

When emerging as a Kingdom business leader we often think that we are not good enough to realize the potential God has placed in us.

It is sometimes difficult for us to realize that we have the capability to become a Kingdom business leader. Due to society's limiting belief systems, we tend to compare ourselves with others rather than focus on our inner strengths. In order for us to fulfil our God-given purpose, we must understand our true identity and destiny.

Therefore, to emerge as a Kingdom business leader we need to step out of our comfort zones wisely and genuinely seek to be ourselves. It involves walking with God as you unlearn the false or wrong belief systems that have been ingrained by your environment or circumstances.

Your unique experiences in life will enable you to identify your gifts and talents as you walk with God through this process. These insights will guide you to serve others and to honour God as an emerging Kingdom business leader.

It does not matter what background one has in order to be a Kingdom business leader. It is often those circumstances, situations, challenges and failures that we overcome that become our gift to the world in the form of valuable lessons.

Emerging as a Kingdom business leader requires courage as it calls one to be transparent and honest throughout the process. This may involve wearing the lessons you have gained from your mistakes on your sleeves consistently. Therefore, it is not for the faint-hearted and it requires a thick skin to be a Kingdom business leader.

However, the Word of God gives us encouragement throughout the journey of emerging as a Kingdom business leader. God is faithful to fulfil His Word and we can lean on His Holy Spirit to guide and empower us through all the stages required for one to emerge as a Kingdom business leader.

There is always a wilderness experience in the journey of life and business, as every emerging business leader can attest to. The process of being formed, moulded, and shaped is scary and demanding, but we also discover our core values, which line up with God's purpose for our lives and businesses.

Therefore, it is important to stay connected to a community throughout the process of emerging as a Kingdom business leader. The encouragement and support one gets from like-minded individuals is paramount to one’s success in business or life for that matter.

When we understand who we are and what we are meant for, we can apply our gifts and talents to serve God more effectively. Our God is a God of excellence. Life is full of challenges, especially for entrepreneurs. We are therefore encouraged to stay the course as Kingdom business leaders as demonstrated in 2 Timothy 1:7 - walk in Love in God's strength.

2021 Chief Servant of the Year Awards.

2021 Chief Servant of the Year Awards.

The Chief Servant of the Year Award is an honorary award given to outstanding employees of the Nehemiah Project International Ministries.

Every year, the Nehemiah Project International Ministries has a Chief Servant of the Year award, which is an award that the staff gets to choose from their peers who among the team members exemplify the values of the organization the most based on their work output, and so there's a rating that goes around the team and then people sort of identity who they want to select. The winner is then awarded $500.

For the year 2021, Poh Sim Saw and Christopher Ooi won the Chief Servant of the Year Awards and Poh Sim Saw who has won the Chief Servant of the Year four times for the five years she has been in the company begins by stating that one of the most important factors that determine the success of an organization, company, or just an individual, is having the ability to adapt to a culture. This does not just mean having awards but having different people on the team and having a good attitude towards them. This helps you interact easily with your colleagues who come from different cultures.

Christopher Ooi on the other hand says that everyone is different and embracing the difference is important so as to learn new things and be able to adapt accordingly helps one work diligently and that is how he got to become Chief Servant of the year.

Developing a positive attitude toward your work and good workplace culture with the help of God has a direct impact on your performance and has an impact on the employee morale around you. It is obvious that workers with positive attitudes perform better than others. As a result, they are easily recognized for awards like the Chief Servant of the Year Awards

Always be a dynamic person, who can be relied on easily. Reliability is very important, in a workplace environment, no matter your position. This helps a lot since you know the job will get done and it will be executed in the best way possible. Striving to be different is an “A-Team” agenda for every year, therefore you should always be on the march towards this and maybe win the Chief Servant of the Year Award!

Christian Employers Alliance

Christian Employers Alliance

Christian Employers Alliance is a legal company that works to ensure that the Christian conservative organizational movement reflects the diversity of Christ's body in this kingdom.

After coming across a roadblock that required both faith-based and non-faith-based organizations to pay for abortion and abortion-inducing drugs, Christian employers banded together to form the Christian Employers Alliance to act as a voice for Christian employers.

When it comes to values and policy, Christian Employers Alliance is the voice of those Christian and biblical values in the policy space and the legal arena.

The Christian Employers Alliance also serves as a means of protection for Christian employers in a world where opposing the dominant ethos is fraught with hostility. In today's society, Christians are frequently reviled for upholding biblical principles. They are not understood, so Christian Employers Alliance stands in that legal space and protects the rights of its members, allowing them to remain anonymous and protected from harsh judgment.

The Christian Employers Alliance adds value to employers seeking to reflect God in their businesses not only as a legal organization but also by providing practical tools to help them feel more confident. This is accomplished by bringing together Christian employers to protect religious freedom while also providing opportunities for employees, businesses, and communities to thrive.

Shannon Royce, Chief Executive Officer of the Christian Employers Alliance, claims that even while representing the needs of the Christian workforce, the Christian Employers Alliance represents Christians fairly without looking down on the needs and beliefs of other religions.

One of the things that this company does, depending on the size of the company, is that they have a health plan that serves the larger members, but they are working on creating health plans for members with 50 to 100 employees and even those with fewer employees to better serve them.

Having said that, the Nehemiah Project International Ministries is partnering with Christian Employers Alliance for a Religious Freedom Forum for Christian employees to educate its members on how to preserve and protect their religious freedom, as well as techniques to avoid falling into legal trappings.
