The Early Birds Review (9) : Reflections of the Moon on Water - Dr. Xiaolan Zhao 📚
This is more of an invitation to our listeners to explore our identities. Safiya shares her own story and on-going journey to be in touch with her femininity. And this book : "Reflections of the Moon on Water: Healing Women's Bodies and Minds through Traditional Chinese Wisdom" by Dr. Xiaolan Zhao.
"My mind was in the driver’s seat, and was forcing my body to do more than it could handle. I expected so much from my body, wanting it to be tough and strong, wanting it to do what my mind asked of it. I came to realize that I had to make a deal with myself: I would take care of my body, and it wouldn’t give me any trouble."
We ask you dear birds, what does being a woman mean to you ?
