Episode 7: A Lasting Legacy
Though the Oakland County Child Killer stops, a pall looms over the Detroit area. In this episode I examine the long term community impact of these heinous crimes through the eyes of Nina Innsted, J Ruben Appelman, and my father. This case still matters all these years later, and this impact lays a foundation for what we are yet to discover. VIEWER DESCRETION IS ADVISED. Topics discussed include but are not limited to the sexual assault and murder of children. Episode 6: A Father's Plea
The Oakland County Child Killer is back for one more terrible killing. Young Timothy King knows to watch for strangers, but is still abducted, held for days, and found killed. This time the victim is found over the Wayne County border, bringing entirely new investigative teams into the fold. The task force seems hard at work investigating this, and then they shut down, seemingly at random. What's going on here? Is anyone going to catch the Oakland County Child Killer? Episode 3: Interstate Horror
Another child goes missing from Oakland County, only this one is found in Ohio, and the circumstances seem different. Due to this and other incidents in the community, tensions begin to rise. Judy Ferro's case is ultimately put to rest, but that only leaves more questions regarding the other victims. A lot has happened in a short amount of time, so in this episode I also step back and take a look at the overall events that have occurred in the first few months of 1976.
