38. Happy Birthday, Dad

38. Happy Birthday, Dad

My dad, Bill Flesch, turns 55 on April 9! He is a longtime teacher and I wanted to use this platform to sneakily gather some colleagues and family to surprise him! He is so modest, but he truly is a wonderful educator. In this episode, people from my dad's school talk about what makes him such a fantastic educator, the impact he has had on them, and some family members stop by to say happy birthday!
-
Dad: I cannot imagine where I would be today without you. YOU are the reason why I became a teacher. I love you, and I hope you enjoy this episode and go back to it whenever you need to remind yourself just how awesome you are!
Your son,
Hunter

33. Strategies for Talkative Students (Mini-Lesson)

In our very first mini-lesson we tackle the issue of student interruptions. We know the traditional practices, but I have one strategy (shoutout mentor teacher who taught me this) that has really worked well to help fix students who talk way too much.
