The Education Fund now teams up with nonprofits to distribute essential supplies to people affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Camillus House has long been a refuge for homeless individuals, families, and teens. 

Camillus House CEO Hilda Fernandez talks about how her organization prepared for the pandemic's impact on the homeless and how the organization works The Education Fund to distribute supplies to people in need. 

In the inaugural episode of The Education Fund podcast, Teachable Moments, we take a look at teaching grants underwrite innovation in the classroom. The Education Fund's grants support new ideas, new technologies and creativity in public schools in Miami-Dade County. 

This year, The Education Fund announced the Emergency Remote Teaching Grant thanks to funding from the P.L. Dodge Foundation. This grant will help teachers fill in the gaps in their technology to provide high quality distance learning experiences for students.
