Interview: Steve French | Unsolved Mysteries, Narrator
Steve has been a promo voice for NASCAR and narrated nature documentaries for National Geographic. I’m a game show announcer (Match Game) and an Undead Drust Monster (World of Warcraft). I’ve given voice to the Armor All Viking, and an animatronic purple koala (Netflix’s Maniac). I’ve voiced spooky movie trailers (Phantasm Remastered) and delightfully silly commercials (Purina Busy dog treats). And now he also helps narrate one of the most iconic platforms of keeping other cold cases, bizarre stories and missing people. And yes I'm talking, Unsolved Mysteries Podcast. Interview: R.H. Grimly Author of the Children's Series "FRIGHTLAND"
R.H. Grimly was born with a fortunately sinister name. He grew up on Goosebumps, Wait Till Helen Comes, and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and has one goal: to get kids excited to read, and scare them silly while doing it (okay, that’s two goals). When he isn’t writing scary books, he’s usually writing screenplays for films. He lives near Park City with his wife Leah and their four kids. “I have terrifying memories of being the last kid in the basement, and having to turn out the lights and run for my life to the stairs.  Books like Goosebumps probably helped me cope (all while hiding their secret agenda of fueling a kid’s love for reading).  I wanted to pay homage to those stories and the nostalgia I feel for them, while having fun, terrifying new adventures.  And of course pushing my own evil plan of getting kids nowadays to put down their phones and develop the same love of reading I did.” Also around the 27 minute mark or so, we pause R.H. to bring in a little segment with Narrator, BJ Whimpey or did the audio book for The Wildman of Shaggy Creek. Moons of Madness | A Sci-Fi Horror Adventure
A mysterious signal has been recorded coming from the red planet. The message confounded Orochi scientists. Their analysts broke it down and determined it was of intelligent origin. Orochi management immediately concluded that the discovery was too sensitive for public knowledge and moved to keep it hidden. In secret, the corporation began construction of Trailblazer Alpha, a state-of-the-art Mars research outpost designed to identify the true nature of the message. You are Shane Newehart, an engineer stationed at Trailblazer Alpha and your security clearance means you are completely unaware of the existence of the mysterious signal. Your job is simply to keep the lights on until the transport ship Cyrano arrives bringing with it a new team to take over your duties. Soon you discover strange and unusual setbacks. Crucial systems are malfunctioning, the greenhouse is filled with a strange mist and the rest of your team has yet to return from their EVA mission. Things are starting to fall apart. You begin seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. Visions, hallucinations – or is that even what it is? Is this real… or are you slowly descending into madness? Experience true cosmic horror With your only hope of rescue hundreds of thousands of miles away, you will be forced to explore the real-world fears of isolation and paranoia, enhanced with supernatural elements and cosmic horror. Terrifying visions and monstrous apparitions will make you question what is real and what is not as the very fabric of reality threatens to tear at the seams. Explore the darker side of Mars Navigate a functioning Mars base in a game that uses non-fiction elements to immerse players in a believable setting. Overcome obstacles using computers, electrical systems, rovers, solar panels and more, then go beyond the outpost and explore the darker side of Mars. Moons of Madness draws upon the rich lore and mythology of Funcom’s Secret World Legends. Both games exist in the same thematic universe, but playing one is not a prerequisite to enjoy the other. Through the Woods | A Norwegian Folklore
Through the Woods is a third-person Norse horror adventure set in a forest on the western shores of Norway that tells the story of a mother and her missing son. Through reactive narration, the player experiences the mother’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance. Players follow the path of a terrified woman who has forced herself to enter this terrible place for the sole purpose of finding her son, in a setting heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales. With Through the Woods, Antagonist have captured the feeling of the forest as they saw it as children, with all the fear and mystery that comes from roaming through it alone. This is coupled with a powerful story and high quality sound design, which in the darkness of the forest becomes a core mechanic. Through the Woods is a profound experience that directly delivers the feelings of loneliness and loss in a terrifying place... Available on Steam, GOG, PS4, Xbox One

Interview: Tom Ryan | Return to The Theatre of Terror (Indiegogo)
The Theatre is OPEN!–2#/ Since 2012 we’ve been making independent horror films with the help of our supporters. In our early days it was a friend volunteering for a speaking role, a cinematographer who shot for the passion, not the pay, or a young make-up artist just trying to get some practice working on a film. We always relied on the combined efforts of the few to help us deliver our brand of entertainment to the many. Over the years we’ve matured as a production company. With a strong focus on storytelling, acting, locations, and practical effects, our experiences have helped us improve our production value, expand our fan base and audience, and secure distribution deals that ultimately deliver us more exposure. We’ve built a brand that independent film fans can believe in and rely on. Today, we’re asking you to believe in our next project. Back in May of 2017 we launched the ambitious production of a four-film anthology titled “The Theatre of Terror”. We successfully raised a $10k budget thanks to people like you. Less than 2 years later, “The Theatre of Terror” had its premiere in January of 2019 and we were floored at the reception it received. Our audience loved the diversity in our subject matter and the classic feel of the anthologies of old we were able to capture.  This reaction energized and inspired us. Enough in fact, to send us back into the bowels of hell of indie film making! Therefore, we are announcing our follow up anthology, “Return to The Theatre of Terror”. We’ve written and developed four new, compelling, and cryptic tales to send shivers down your spine.   Also check out

The Tall Man | A Interesting Theory of Missing Children
Missing 411, a well known series by David Paulides. The first documentary take of missing children available on Amazon, DVD and more. Every year children go missing without a trace, never to be seen from again. Others are found far away that a child shouldn't have been able to do by themselves, especially in circumstances that would do harm to them or even worse just not possible. However what if... there was another way. A group known as the "The Tall Men" or however you'd see them, are actually watching you and others around them. Join Tessa and Paul as we discuss the most important message a film as ever laid down to really should stop the viewer and ask themselves. "Am I worthy to have children?" It all comes down to how one child is brought up and if the cycle is repeated in the household, over and over again. Because that's what every kid knows, all because they weren't in a healthy family household. What if there was such thing as a "Boogeyman", that could take them away from you. And let you finally realize your problems once your children are no longer in sight. Only then would you know your wrong from rights.

A nice short nod to the infamous Steven Spielberg classic shark film. There is quite a good amount of 45th Anniversary Jaws merch, re-releases of JAWS on 4K HD, Steel-book, Funko Pops and more. Depends on where you look online to find the merch for you. Until then, we're gonna need a bigger podcast.

Originals vs Remakes: IT Movies
We start a new series for the podcast, by talking about the original films versus the remakes or reboots. Do they work? Do they fail? This is the idea behind the new idea. And first up to debut this new creation is our chat about the IT movies. So let's take a look at what we'll be talking about. And if you enjoyed this idea, please offer suggestions for future episodes. --------------------------------------- IT (1990): In 1960, seven pre-teen outcasts fight an evil demon who poses as a child-killing clown. Thirty years later, they reunite to stop the demon once and for all when it returns to their hometown. This was also known as a TV Mini-Series. Separated into 2 Episodes for One Season. --------------------------------------- IT CHAPTER ONE (2017): In the summer of 1989, a group of bullied kids band together to destroy a shape-shifting monster, which disguises itself as a clown and preys on the children of Derry, their small Maine town. This was the remake from the original mini series, taking both parts and turning them into two separate films. --------------------------------------- IT CHAPTER TWO (2019): Twenty-seven years after their first encounter with the terrifying Pennywise, the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back. The second and final chapter of the new run. Which the original showed both "chapters". ---------------------------------------

Interview: Red Lagoe (Author) | WiHM11
Red Lagoe grew up on 80s horror and carried her paranoia of slashers and sewer creatures into adulthood. She never realized how helpful her love of horror was until she applied the lessons learned to traversing the campus parking lots at night. Horror stories have always been in her head, but instead of using her ever-so-useful Independent Studies degree in a creative field, she went to work in the veterinary field. Here, she learned first-hand to identify the smell of death and burnt flesh. She’s had her hands inside the warm abdominal cavities of living things, and assisted on surgeries where limbs and eyeballs were removed. Putrid infections, maggots, rabies, and diseases riddled her day to day. She put seven years of own (literal) blood, sweat, and tears into her job but needed to step away. Red made the painful decision to leave her beloved nine-to-five to spend more time with her kids and to pursue her buried passion for writing dark fiction. We also talk about what Women In Horror Month means to her. --------------------------------------------------- Check out "Fair Haven" and "Lucid Screams" published from Red Lagoe. Interview: Beau Yotty | Desert Wolf
Desert Wolf is a throwback to the fun, scary horror creature features of the 1980’s, in the vein of werewolf classics The Wolf Man (1941) and Wolf (1994). The film follows a series of vicious attacks that occur in a small Arizona town. The residents are terrified for their lives, as the death toll rises with each full moon. Their sheriff hunts down the beast responsible for the carnage. We first got a taste of Beau Yotty’s work with last years, Unearthed: The Curse of the Nephthys. Which was a little slow burn for me, maybe because I wasn’t really sure what was really trying to be executed. That was until Tessa and I had the privilege to actually chat with Beau Yotty himself, and it was from there we really got to know what and how he creates his own stories to make them work. Now let’s get into his latest piece of cinema, Desert Wolf. Shot in Arizona, Beau Yotty set’s out to create something nostalgic. Does he execute the film successfully? I believe he did, because of the throw back to the older films. Desert Wolf Review: Find Beau Yotty and WATCH DESERT WOLF Amazon | Vimeo | DVD
