Worship Song of the Week a.k.a. WSW

What does THERE look like to you? If you are sure of what it looks like, are you pressing on to getting there? Or are you allowing the pressures and the challenges dissuade you? 

I am here to encourage you that you should never give up. God has got you covered. The fact that it's not been an easy journey does not mean that God has abandoned you, He is ever-present with you and He is grooming you for the great plans that He has for you. Be encouraged today and keep hope alive. Tell yourself I WILL GET THERE.

On this first episode of Worship Song of the Week a.k.a WSW, @Lcbeatz and I got into a conversation of what worship meant. I don't believe I won an argument, I just feel like we came to an understanding and that was super cool.   

I am super pumped and excited for season 4 of worship song of the week. This time we are sharing the story behind the story. The first episode drops next Sunday 23rd August. Don't miss it.

Happy Sunday and a happy new month. I am grateful for the gift of another month. It's so great that God has segmented our lives and existence into times and season which gives us the opportunity to start afresh if we so desire.  It is the eighth month of the year and the number eight signifies new beginnings. I pray that this will be our experience indeed this month. 

After last week's episode, I got some beautiful responses to my questions about how to deal with fear and anxiety. On today's episode, I share some of those responses with you and I hope you find them helpful. I also led us through a short worship session in honour to God who has gifted us a new month. I am so excited that we have now come to the end of chapter one of Called to Worship by Vernon M. Whaley. I don't know about you but I 've been blessed by the journey so far. Being reminded that all of creation reminds us and points us to the fact that we were made to worship God. And today going on to see God's purpose for worship revealed. 

I hope that you keep this always before you that you are made and called to worship and that worship is essentially living a life that glorifies God.

On today's episode, we look at the Plan of God revealed from the book Called to worship by Vernon M. Whaley.

God created us to worship Him. And in Genesis 1, the words "Evening passed and morning came" points us to six attributes of worship.

1. Worship takes time

2. Worship is a process

3. Worship requires growth

4. Worship requires order

5. Worship should be fresh

6. Worship is part of God's cycle of life.

As you go about your way this week, let everything within and without you point be as a reminder that you were made to worship.  Let every breath you take, let everything nature you see call your attention to the fact that you were made to worship Him.

I hope you had a great week and your weekend has been restful. So I have been a little under the weather and so it's been a bit of a struggle sticking to time. Hence the lateness of today's episode dropping. However, I am grateful to Abba for the gift of life.  

On today's episode, I featured my sister Naa as she shared with us a portion of the book CALLED TO WORSHIP by VERNON M. WHALEY and how it spoke to her. She also gave us a little sample of her sweet voice by singing the song that came to mind for her. I do hope that today's episode blesses you.

I hope that you had a productive week and that your weekend has also been restful. On today's episode, Vernon M. Whaley author of Called to Worship, in part one of this book explained how creation in itself was the very beginning of a call to worship. He explained how God gave us a model of worship. How everything in creation including ourselves should bring us to a place of awesome wonder in who God is. He (God) is the centre of all things and He created all things for His pleasure. 

Enjoy the artistic combination of words Whaley used to describe this phenomenon. And I pray that as you listen and go about your week, that your eyes are open to behold the wonders of God all around you. That you begin to see how majestic God is just considering all of His creation including you.

It feels so great to be back to podcasting. I am so elated and super grateful that God will consider me to carry out this assignment for such a time as this. I can't even tell you that I am sure how this will play out but one thing I can say is I am intrigued at the uncertainty of how this will go. I am just happy to show up and be used by Abba.

A happy new month to you! How exciting is it that we are already in the third month of 2020? I really do hope that you are smashing your goals and expanding your reach? If you are yet to dive in you are already late,  but today is another day to get back in the game of winning. Let's March forward into greatness, shall we? Yes! 

Today on the show I had my Jamaican sister from another mother grace the mic with me in the studio and shared her worship song of the week by the Elevation Worship. Today's episode is an adventurous one. Haha, so we could not get a quiet place to record and while we searched time was far spend, so what did we do? We decided to record on the go in a car! Yes. Well, thank God it came out okay as you could hear everything we were saying. I am so glad that my sweet sister Lindarose was open to being adventurous with me on this one. 

It was indeed a fun episode and we got to sing together too. I do hope that as you listen to her testimony and to how her worship song of the week resonates with the story of her life on all levels as she puts, that you will also look into your life and see how good God has been.
