You may be shocked to find out this wellness-industry favorite contains dangerous heavy metals. We are going to explore the specific dangers of 4 of the heavy metals found in protein powder as well as some other protein powder pitfalls. Then we’ll cover some high-protein whole foods you can turn to instead as well as the benefits of making the switch!

Have you ever been looking to improve your health, shed a few pounds, and get in better shape? Maybe you, like so many other people, have walked into a health food store looking for guidance. The shelves are lined with an overwhelming amount of supplements, performance-enhancing formulas, pre-workout mixes, and so many protein powders!

The next thing you know, a pushy salesperson approaches you and convinces you to buy an expensive tub of protein powder. They promise this will help you build muscles and lose fat. It sounds too good to be true, but you go for it because you are hungry for a change. Is the protein powder promise just false hope?

Protein shakes are highly marketed in the wellness, weightloss, and bodybuilding industries. It's an estimated $4.7 billion industry as of 2020 in the US.

Protein powders are processed concentrated proteins made with milk (whey or casein), eggs, or plants (often soy). They are usually mixed with fillers, sweeteners, thickeners, and added vitamins.

A typical protein powder will give you 10 - 30 grams of protein per serving.

Your body needs protein for muscle maintenance, bone health, growing hair and nails, and even hormone regulation.

But here’s the major protein shake pitfall…

Because protein powders are sold as a supplement, the FDA is hands off when it comes to regulating the quality of ingredients and leaves it up to the manufacturer to label. This results in the powders containing shocking residues like traces of heavy metals.

I want to raise awareness of the negative effects of some popular foods and beverages that may be part of your diet. It’s so important to know how certain ingredients could be impacting your health and wellness. This series is curated to help you make informed decisions, eliminate confusion, and empower you to make healthy choices for life!

First up, we will explore some concerns about Dunkin’ Donuts. Then, we’ll dive into the dangers of added sugars including chronic conditions and sugar addiction. Finally, I’ll share 5 benefits of having healthy breakfast and some meal ideas that will give you an advantage in the morning rather than starting your day fighting a digestive battle against a current of unhealthy ingredients.
Overview of The Problem

If coffee and a donut from Dunkin' are part of your morning routine, you might be sacrificing your health for convenience. This popular donut chain uses highly processed and inflammatory ingredients in most of its drinks and baked goods.

Historically, donuts can be made with 7 simple ingredients: Yeast, milk, flour, butter, sugar, salt, and eggs. But did you know that donuts in big chain bakeries are loaded with added chemicals and preservatives?

Dunkin’ Donuts and most big-chain donuts are full of nutrient-poor, inflammatory ingredients including high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, soybean oil, artificial flavors, and artificial coloring. Consuming these ingredients puts you at a higher risk for disease and takes a massive toll on your health.

You may already be aware of the problems that consuming gluten can cause - but there are even more problematic ingredients in a Dunkin’ donut. There are 30+ ingredients even in the simple glazed donut from Dunkin’! The Apple Crumb Donut has 66! Their Glazed Jelly Stick packs 540 calories, 30g of fat, 37g sugar, and 430mg sodium. (1) So if you think, “it’s just one donut” - you may think differently by the end of this episode.
Talking Points

Here are just a few examples of how that box of donuts in the break-room does more harm than good.


• Gluten combined with processed sugar leaves you feeling sluggish and foggy.
• The more processed foods you eat the more you crave!
• The combo of high fat/ high carbohydrate content in foods like donuts causes a drug-like reaction in the brain, making you want more (2)
• Over time, excess sugar consumption takes a toll on your body. You can build up a tolerance to sugar, so you need more of it to feel the same effect in your brain’s reward center. As your sugar intake increases, so does your risk for related health issues.
• Studies have shown that a diet high in added sugar is linked to (3):
o Inflammation
o Liver disease
o Obesity (increasing the risk of diabetes, sleep apnea, heart disease, and cancer)
o Insulin resistance (causing issues regulating blood sugar, diabetes, and high blood pressure)
o Leaky gut syndrome (allowing toxins the pass through the intestinal wall causing inflammation and autoimmune symptoms)
o Candida overgrowth (leading to brain fog, depression, muscle aches, numbness, skin issues, yeast infections, digestive upset, and hormonal imbalances)
• Eating foods that are poor in healthy fats, fiber, and protein causes your gut health and energy levels to suffer.
• When you eat or drink things that throw off the balance of your microbiome (often gluten, dairy, and processed sugar are on this list!) – the inflammatory effects result in imbalances within your body and brain.

Hello, and welcome. My name is Elena Bensonoff, and I will be your host and guide as we dive deep into today’s topic: Terrain Theory tips to improve your health. Recently, my partner Alejandro and I tested the vibrational frequency of two theories and our findings were eye opening.

We tested Germ Theory, because it is the basis for our current public health system and the way of life that is promoted in our society. Then we tested Terrain Theory because it aligns so closely with the way the Hazda Tribe in Africa lives their life. I highly recommend looking into the Hazda Tribe because they still sustain a hunter/gatherer lifestyle and they are virtually untouched by disease and live long, healthy lives.

Germ Theory was popularized by French chemist Louis Pasteaur in 1861. Basically this theory focuses on avoiding or killing germs and viruses to prevent illness. This theory paved the way for antibiotics and vaccines. It is all about making things sterile and isolated. When Alejandro and I tested the vibrational frequency of this theory, it came out to 100 - the level of fear. We also tested the collective immunity of people on earth and it is currently at 100 as well. Not good. When prevention becomes the only focus and living life becomes secondary to a sterile environment - humans are unable to thrive for long.

Terrain Theory on the other hand, is all about the body and creating a healthy, vital body that can withstand exposure to germs and viruses and either avoid illness or recover quickly after coming down with something. The focus of this theory is creating a healthy environment for the body to thrive so it will remain resilient when exposed to pathogens, This theory tested at the vibrational frequency of 525 - the level of love.

Something that can be stated about both theories is that the way we live impacts us on a cellular level. It all comes down to epigenetics - the way your genes change in response to your environment. Germ Theory is important because you do need to be mindful of germs, practice prevention by washing your hands, and support public health by doing things like staying home when you are sick or covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze. However, it is just as important to think of your environment and how it impacts your body. Preparing your body to fight off illness is the best long-term defense against illness.

So let’s talk about how you can build a healthy inner terrain to support a robust immune system. Your inner terrain includes everything from your heart to your gut! We are going to go over five tips in detail that can improve your health.

Together we developed a system to test and read vibrational frequencies. We use three instruments simultaneously to derive the final results. Using a person's photograph and name - serves as a reference point to read and retreat the information related to the persons Biofield. Our method is not connected to any AI, Cloud or internet that makes calculations. We are simply analyzing the energy of our subject. We compile our data afterward. In my work as a holistic practitioner and teacher, I am on a mission to help my clients better understand the many aspects and layers of what makes up their reality. Sometimes we find ourselves stuck behind a curtain of illusion, bogged down in the drudge of everyday life. One of the ways I help my clients is by teaching them to tap into their intuition to break through and see the bigger picture.

Underneath the noise and the clutter in our minds, we find this beautiful shimmering part of our being. Use your imagination with me for a moment. I like to imagine my intuition as a light within me. It is small enough to go mostly unnoticed, but it is always there. Intuition goes where I go, it glows and illuminates. It reveals radiant insights and unique opportunities we would have otherwise missed.

We all have intuition as a natural part of our soul-anatomy. We can choose to listen and learn from what it tells us, or we can ignore it and snuff it out. It takes time, love, and care to develop a strong, trusting relationship with intuition.

Today I have something very important to talk to you about. In a world where struggle and strife seem to be so loud, it is more important than ever that we awaken to a more conscious state and shine our lights into the darkness. In times like these, it is easy to lose track of our purpose, and remain frustrated in the noise and chaos.

You are not alone! Contemplating the way you experience reality is the first step to raising your consciousness, tapping into the wisdom of the collective consciousness, and helping to boost the consciousness of the planet!

In my work, I specialize in helping people uncover their many inner gifts and learn how to be of service to a Divine mission of spreading love and peace on Earth. Today I want to explain what consciousness is, and give you two gateways so that you can begin your own awakening to become a more conscious human being.


I did a small study to measure collective energetic frequency with a special device I use in my practice as a Quantum Energy Practitioner before, during, and after a consciousness-shifting online retreat. The results were magnificent. Those who completed the full course raised the collective vibration from 450Hz to 600Hz! 500Hz is the frequency of love, so not only did we generate a love frequency, we went above and beyond to the level of peace!

There is so much to be gained by spending purposeful time with others who help lift you higher.
