Anne C. Miles, an award-winning author, was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, fifty years ago. She successfully avoided writing fiction for years by blogging and extensive journaling. Pants On or Off: D. William Landsborough

Douglas has been obsessed with fantasy since his dad gave him the three books in R.A. Salvatore's Dark Elf trilogy, way back when he was in grade school. Those books immersed him in a genre that created a love for reading and writing, one that led to where he is today. Along the way, Douglas has become a Dungeon Master, a freelance editor and blog writer, and even more of a nerd--if such a thing is possible--than when he first finished that trilogy.

Douglas currently lives in Ontario, Canada. When not writing, editing, or indulging in video games or horror movies, he can usually be found on Twitter (@dwlandsborough) or on his website https://www.dlandsborough.com

Pants On or Off: Holly Bargo

Holly Bargo has been writing stories since she learned the alphabet and could hold a pencil. She started submitting fantasy and science fiction short stories to magazines as a teenager, received encouraging feedback from editors, and finally received validation as a writer when she won a national writing contest with a flash fiction story titled "Silence." Her first book, an epic fantasy, was published in 1995 and promptly fizzled, and the publisher went belly up. She admits the book should never have been published. As happens to many people, the obligations of adulthood put Holly's literary ambitions on the back burner for many years until she self-published Rowan, the first book of the Tree of Life trilogy in 2014. Today, Holly writes romance and often mixes it with fantasy and science fiction. She has released over 20 titles since 2014, all available on Amazon.

Holly Bargo, a pseudonym adopted from the registered name of a temperamental Appaloosa mare, has been married for over 30 years. She and her husband have two adult children, one living in Alabama and the other in Alaska. They live on a hobby farm in southwest Ohio with a menagerie of cats, horses, and one very big dog.

Pants On or Off: Katie Cherry

Pants On or Off: Katie Cherry

Katie Cherry was born in Utah and still resides there, though with a nomadically-inclined husband, that’s likely to change before too long. Wherever they live, he’s happy to stick by her side and even supports her in her writing by deepening worldbuilding, helping Katie chase down any elusive words, checking story continuity, and more.

While fairly new to the career of being an author, having first published in October 2018, Katie has been writing novels since she was thirteen. In the years leading up to her first foray into writing seriously, fantasy books were devoured at a rate nearly alarming to her teachers, librarians, and others. Soon, she found her supply diminishing far too quickly. Now, she creates more fantasy stories that her younger self would have ached to read!

While Katie’s books are family friendly, she doesn’t shy away from having realistic characters with realistic struggles. Themes of depression and anxiety can be found in her main characters, though they certainly don’t let that struggle keep them from accomplishing what they set their minds to! You’ll find a lot of yourself in the characters in Katie’s books, giving you the distinct feeling that YOU are the hero in each adventure.

Pants On or Off: Robert Cano

Pants On or Off: Robert Cano

A unique new author and poet who hearkens back to the world of the classics, Robert Cano also brings his poetic voice to his prose as he scribbles his stories down in small and barely legible scrawlings.  The world he has created is inspired by the likes of Tolkien, Le Guin, or Shelley.

Building his world with incredible depth of lore and fascinating characters of all types and races, Cano’s artwork is of a classical mindset. Calming despite, or perhaps because of, the darkness with which he writes.  Find yourself in that mindset and travel a world of beauty through the lens of suffering.  Perhaps it comes from a cathartic effort to wrestle with his own demons, but Cano’s words are felt, sometimes they feel like a hug, and other times his words might pierce our soul.

His poetic voice is visible through his use of metaphor and ability to describe things in a way the reader can see unfolding, almost as if right before their eyes.  Truly an archaic stylization to his voice, Cano is an author worth reading.  For his are words are presented in a way that today’s authors no longer care for.

However, this also requires a very special reader.  Are you this reader?  Are his words for you?
