Welcome back to the Untaming Podcast! It is currently the Full Flower Moon here in the Southern Hemisphere. Each episode of this third season will be released on the New and Full Moons. A 10 Questions in 10 Minutes episode will be released to coincide with the First & Last Quarter Moons.

Miriam Lancewood was born in a loving home in a village in the Netherlands. After completing her university degree, she worked for a year in Zimbabwe, then traveled to India where she met her now husband Peter.

Together they hiked over eight mountains ranges in the Himalaya, journeyed for years through South East Asia, including Papua New Guinea, and eventually they ended up in Peter’s home country: New Zealand.

Miriam worked for a while as a teacher, then they decided to give up all their worldly belongings and move into the mountains with a tent and bow and arrow.

They wanted to learn how to survive in the wilderness, and find out what happens to body and mind when living in the beauty of the wildest nature on earth.

Miriam’s memoir Woman in the Wilderness, 2017 became an International Bestseller and was translated into five languages. Her second book Wild at Heart came out last year.
