In the section discuss the concept of 験 "gen" from shugen. Specifically this is the trial, verification, or testing of Buddhist practice through training and experimentation. This is the practical way for us, who have bought into the ideology of modern society as pain free, comfortable, and convenience civilization. Through this concept we can cultivate the teachings and generate the testimony of the ancestors.
