Pre-Investment (ChinaMarketInvest.™) ~ Why Businesses (Entrepreneurs, Investors, Export Brands, Governments) Seek Foreign Markets (China Market).

JANE LePAWAH talks on key drivers that prompt investors to seek out new markets; she goes deep using her own entry into China Market 8 years ago to exemplify and to state it really often depends on personal, profit and the life stage of a business.

1.) In the most broadest of senses, companies go ‘foreign’ because they want to grow or expand operations. The benefits of entering foreign markets include generating more revenue, competing for new sales, investment opportunities, diversifying, reducing costs and recruiting new talent.

But is ‘Expansion’ really the be-it-all for many companies/investors/entrepreneurs????

Listen in to find out the answer from JANE LePAWAH your Foreign Direct Investment advisor ....

BEYOND "Ni Hao" Trailer 1 ~ Why the BEYOND "Ni Hao" project ?

BEYOND "Ni Hao" Trailer 1 ~ Why the BEYOND "Ni Hao" project ?

JANE LePAWAH talks on The Reasons why her firm (E'Or SOLUTIONS, Inc.™) started the BEYOND "Ni Hao" project ...

1.) Being on the China Market herself for the past 8-years, owing and running two foreign-owned businesses ~ A German/Canadian Foreign Direct Investment firm she bought; and a supply chain management (import/export) company she owns was the first major reason for BNH project.

2.) Not wanting people and other foreign investors (businesses, export brands) to make the same hard-earned money mistakes she made is definitely a strong motivator. For all these years on the China Market, she has used herself as a human guinea pig to venture out, chart the course and then share with others; because business to her is first leading by exemplar and authenticity. This is E'Ors ethos.

3.) And for the fact that running a successful Foreign Direct Investment conglomerate in Shanghai, there is a lot of experience, a wealth of knowledge, use and project cases she has garnered working hands-on with her dear clients from everywhere around the world; and in different works of life (industries) on the China Market.

Pre-Investment (ChinaMarketInvest.™) ~ The Most Pressing Problems Clients (new investors/businesses/brands/projects/entrepreneurs) face on the China Market

Pre-Investment (ChinaMarketInvest.™) ~ The Most Pressing Problems Clients (new investors/businesses/brands/projects/entrepreneurs) face on the China Market

JANE LePAWAH talks on The Most Pressing Problems ...

1.) China Market is a 1.4 billion people market - that is enormously big; this is by far the main attraction to China for investors (as purchasing power)

But this poses enormous challenges too because how do you find you target customers within the 1.4 billion. And on top of that, how to appeal to them? Chinese consumers are not American or African or European. Using the western way or how it works in your existing market will never work. It must be culturally curated.

In terms of geography, China is enormously big (China is the 3rd Largest country in the world with landmass (land area + water bodies) of 9,707,961 sq. km (3,747,877 miles sq.))

And there are different geographical regions across China, which all have different business ethics, local governments/regulations and varied 55 different ethnicities. This is a huge challenge.

2.) China has a rich historic past worth 5000 years, way way before the birth of Jesus - that naturally builds incomprehensibility in your mind as there is just so many facets to de-piece, so that you as business can deduce how the Chinese have developed and evolved culturally. This always would help you for strategy, and appreciation or empathy for your Chinese counterparts.

3.) Language barriers, culture shock and communication distance - enervates you especially because your Chinese partners never talk directly, always contextually. Always! Chinese is a contextual language; not as straight forward as the ABCs of the English language.

How to then to negotiate and engage with the Chinese whilst you speak on English; tactics, empathy (seeing Chinese perspectives and contexts), strategy (to be able to see how they will react and what their interest are), and the way of negotiation (moral courage to understand how other people are within your arguments and justifications) for the optimal outcome.

4.)  China is hugely misunderstood by non-Chinese. There is a lot of talk about China from people who just watched CNN (or other mainstream outlets) or read a history book on China ... The trade wars with the USA and other global hegemonies, the COVID 19, trolls against China online, propaganda against them … all these do not help. And thus, there is the need for someone, an authority or an expert (like a China Market Foreign Direct Investor and Advisor) in the market to un-layer China for contextual comprehension for new investors/businesses/brands/projects/entrepreneurs.

5.) You are a complete stranger. How to enter, let alone penetrate and thrive on China Market? If you do not seek out mentors or already successful businesses on the market ...

Pre-Investment (ChinaMarketInvest.™) ~ Why a personal Foreign Direct Investment Advisor is a MUST on China Market for new investors/entrepreneurs/businesses seeking to enter China Market

Pre-Investment (ChinaMarketInvest.™) ~ Why a personal Foreign Direct Investment Advisor is a MUST on China Market for new investors/entrepreneurs/businesses seeking to enter China Market

JANE LePAWAH talks on ...

1. The PROBLEM:

The worst mistake people make is to try getting into the China Market without game strategy, or market research. Or, most vitally without seeking expert advice (management consulting from a Foreign Direct Investment Advisor) on how to enter, penetrate, thrive and quadruple their results on the market.

Therefore, what usually obtains is they run-off with a random agent (who usually promises heaven and earth and can help them incorporate for cheap) to have their business idea (usually not proven and tested to work on the China market) registered, than no sooner do they realize they do not know what to do with the business or how to use the license they have obtained.

Some of these clients even attempt using their registered company as a visa-crutch to stay in China whilst pursuing other non-business activities, which the China Government actively frowns against and ends up deporting them or jailing them for illegal and malpractices on the China Market.

2. The FACT:

Without wanting to commit the time to research China Market, to sit through a proper growth + strategy session in order to carve out calculated steps for short-mid and longterm success on the China Market. But being in such a hurry to enter the market, says a lot about the immaturity and un-seriousness of most people who claim “I seriously want to do business in China”, when all they want is a visa crutch.

3. FOUR KEY CHALLENGES:

0.  Lack of purpose, a strong brand, business and value proposition in the first place. Because without a strong ‘why-power’, most people cannot be sustainable on China Market nor would they have the girts to withstand the day-to-day grind of doing business.

  1. Lack of a deep enough understanding of China; the Chinese and China Market.
  2. Lack of patience, love for short-cuts and being cheap when considering incorporation. Failing to understand to get incorporated in a foreign market is normally very expensive to do.
Not savvy enough to watch-out for bad service providers (so-called 'consultants') and random agents ...
