In this episode, I discuss the importance of recognizing the hegemonic forces stopping us from parenting our children to be full versions of themselves and how the oppressive nature of patriarchy has harmed our boys.

How do we protect our sons from this onslaught to fear and violence as Mothers? How do help our sons be WHOLE?

In this episode, I am talking about how effectively the hegemony uses people like Jorden B. Peterson and Andrew Tate to turn our boys against themselves but putting them in a box, rather than letting them express the fullness of their humanity which both masculine and feminine. The first manipulation was creating the divide of self.

In this episode, I am asking everyone to reconnect and reject the fragmentation of the Hegemony. For centuries we have been convinced to categorize the world, ourselves, and the Pluralverse. The more you learn, the more you will see how intrinsically connected all things are. I am also discussing how these historical misdirects created the Hegemonic power ruling us globally. The six cradles of civilizations, Mesopotamia, Indus Valley, China, Egypt, Peru, and Mexico, evolved at the SAME TIME! There has been a concerted effort to keep us in the dark to control the narrative about this fact and reconnect to the inner knowing we all have!

Until we soften the soil, we can't plant new seeds of healing and growth!

Welcome to season 6 of EQaboveIQ Parenting with Emotional Intelligence and Healing the Inner Child! My name is Trina Casey, and I work as a Certified CBT and EQ Coach, Family Trauma Professional, Educator, Children’s Book Author, and most importantly, the Mom of an AWESOME kid! I am biased on that last one! 

I started this podcast FIVE seasons ago to help parents learn the five principles of Emotional Intelligence as they were raising their children. I also know the importance of healing the inner child as we confront the generational trauma that seems to plague this world.

All my years of research and study brought me to a word I had never heard in school, and I doubt most of you have not, either. 

HEGEMONY!

The word carries a heavy weight to it, and you will know why as you look up the definition. I would define it for you, but its impact on every aspect of our daily life is something I would like you to reflect on your own. 

This season I will dive deep into how hegemony affects how we parent, educate, and love our children. The macro affects the micro of our lives much more than we can see and sometimes want to. So like in The Matrix, which pill will you take? The one for your Grand Awakening or the one that keeps you asleep.

In this episode, I discuss depression and how masking leads to suicide. We lost another light in the world. Stephen “Twitch” Boss took his life this week. Everyone said, “He seemed so happy!” but where are we holding space to allow him to be unhappy? This is the problem with depression in a  world so heavy and oppressive that we feel we have to wear a mask and our order to survive. And truth be told, other people's sadness triggers people. We become avoidant. We don’t hold space for other people's struggles because we’re usually struggling, but we are unwittingly stopping ourselves from healing through solidarity and compassionate empathy. If we want to change the world, we must change how we see sad people struggling and considered “weak. We have all been there too.

It took me a moment to decide on this season's direction because of the current MADNESS in this world and my personal life too! I want to make this season impactful and PROFOUND! I used this word so much in this episode because I couldn't think of another word to describe the DEEP work we need to do to shift out of the hegemony we currently exist in. 

This season I will focus on Generational Trauma and how it affects our relationships, especially with our children. 

In this episode, I am talking about the ultimate gaslighting phrase, "There can be more than one truth." I'm afraid I have to disagree! There is the truth, and then there are distortions of that truth. Examining the motivations of the powers will lead you to the truth of why they do what they do. Teaching our children to be critical thinkers and immune to gaslighting is the only way we will shift out of this distortion and get back to the truth. In this episode, I am sharing my thoughts on a ridiculous and quite frankly narcissistic phrase, "let's agree to disagree." Please stop using this term to end your disagreements.

I see this but this has been our reality for a lot longer than we want to admit.

In this episode, I am examining the use of fear to stop the growth of humanity. Fear is the root cause of all the emotions that cripple us as a society and the narcissism used is criminal. Fear has been used for eons by the powerful to bend the rest of humanity to their will. Most of our fears are a manipulation for profit and the moment we start realize the reality created for majority is actually perpetuated by the minority, we can start taking back that power. Who is ready for a shift? I am and if we don't, how much of a future will our children have? Are you afraid? Don't be! We CAN fix it if we become emotionally intelligent.

In this episode, I am talking about the Oscars and the Slap. I want to get honest about why and not if it was right or wrong. Obvious slapping another person is not the right way to deal with problems or disagreements, but violence is a foundational part of American history. We would be delusional to pretend that it does not come out. We are constantly exposed to it through the media, and if we want to get to self-regulation, we need to be self-aware about what entertains us and what we allow to ENTER us. We all have trauma responses, and if your examples have been violence, there is a higher likelihood of it to present in this way, whether verbal or physical. In this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Anabel Jensen. Anabel serves as President and Co-Founder of Six Seconds, The Emotional Intelligence Network, where she has co-authored social/emotional assessments, which support gifted youngsters in strengthening these skills. She is also a Professor Emeritus at Notre Dame de Namur University, where she taught graduate students who were completing either a master’s degree or a teacher’s credential. Her students often commented that Anabel modeled the teaching methods that she advocated. Anabel’s noble goal is to “teach accountability and compassion so that ethical decisions will flood the globe.”

In this episode, I give my take on the unnecessary wars that started in Europe and how Emotional Intelligence would eradicate the need to have them! Aren't we all tired? Can't we do better? I believe we can! I just fought off Covid, and I was exhausted, and then this conflict with Ukraine amped up. My son doesn't understand why? Also, empathy knows no race, so how did the black Ukrainians get held back? Some gaslight and say this is not the time, but I say it's a perfect time. If we are going to leave a better world for our children, we will do it with the dismantling of systems that persist in harming us. RIGHT NOW! No more cherry-picking let's take it all down for a more egalitarian world.

With every negative, there is a positive! The parents of the shooter are being held ACCOUNTABLE! In this episode, I am talking about teaching accountability through what's happening in the world now. Today's example is Afghanistan. Do you feel like the world is crashing? Well, if you are focused on the current news cycle, I wouldn't blame you. Like most kids, mine is getting news from sources in the gaming world, talking to peers, and even school. For example, I was agitated when I heard my son's school discussed George Floyd without the right Emotional Intelligence foundation. Still, real life is inescapable, but how we explain it to our kids can create a generation of more conscious beings, who learn from their mistakes and know how to be ACCOUNTABLE, so they don't keep repeating our mistakes. Isn't that the point? There is always an EQ way to teach and discuss everything.

I also want to gently remind parents that the only way we can help children is to be the example of what we want to see in them and accept that even with all the care in the world, your children will be who they are going to be. They are unique and separate from the ideas and boxes we place them in, and the harder you try to make them into some version of perfection or WOKE, they will do what makes them feel like the most authentic version of themselves. So our role is to love them no matter what! It's usually our fears that push them away. So love them, instill self-love, and hope for the best!
