By Erica Ramsey-Bowen
Hi! I’m Erica Ramsey-Bowen, Public Image Chair for the Rotary Club of East Cobb. And to the average person- that all sounds like “Blah blah blah blahy blah...”. Especially if you have NO IDEA what Rotary is or why members like myself love it so. In a nutshell: we do great stuff! Fun fact: did you know that Rotary has had a pivotal role in helping wipe out Polio world wide??? Yahhhhh. Rotary and Rotarians are COOL! And I’m on a mission to share WHY!

Trailer for Episode 2: “Wheel of Hope” due to Air by or before February 20th.
This is an Episode whose focus is Hope, both the feeling and the most literal sense. Segment 1 - I interview Senator and Doctor Kay Kirkpatrick Haltom, who shares her high hopes for Bill SB345, nicknamed “SOS”, which could provide critical legislative support to help keep hunger at bay for some children during the summer. Segment 2, I am honored to be interviewing Bob Hope. No, not THAT Bob Hope - I’m talking about local legend, Marketing Maven Bob Hope, the man Atlanta Magazine listed as “Legend” on its list of 500 most Powerful Atlantans. And - oh yes- he also happens to be a Rotarian. ☺️ Segment 3, I delve a bit further into Must Ministries’ impact on hunger within our community and how Senator Kirkpatrick’s SOS Bill literally could be their “New Hope” to a sudden alarming problem that popped up last year. I also will provide an update on Charibot - the robotic wheelchair discussed in episode 1 of Spoke’n Wheel. So... can we get all this in under 60 minutes? I think so. Or - at least - I “Hope” so. 😖🎉☺️ Stay tuned...

“Spoken Wheel” (The Very Unofficial Rotary Club of East Cobb Podcast)
It’s 2020! How do you not know what Rotary is or why we Rotarians love it so! Once (or sometimes even Twice) a month, East Cobb Rotarian Erica Ramsey-Bowen presents her take on why Rotary is incredible- by sharing casual interviews with Rotarians she admires as well as worthy organizations that benefit from the philanthropic efforts of Rotarians. It’s her own irreverent, quirky, but inspiring point of view that spotlights the people who place a priority on “Service Above Self”.
