Get a behind-the-scenes listen to one of Erin's 30-Minute Independent Sleeper Tune-Up Calls.
If your baby is not yet 12-months or quickly approaching it, this episode is a must-listen! Take away some strategies for your current or future situation.
Baby A profile:
This family worked with Erin when Baby A was 6 weeks old using newborn foundations strategies and a PUPD method beyond 12 weeks of age. Baby A has been a champion sleeper until a few weeks ago, hitting the 12-month sleep regression HARD. Early mornings and crazy naps became a thing for a while. The family reached out to Erin to see what they could do to help their baby get back on track.
Erin makes a few tweaks to the routines and recommends using the Hatch clock - and gives her best tips on how to use it - for the family to try moving forward to help their little one start to identify some new sleep cues. Removing bottles/feeding from the sleep routines has been recommended too. They go over the steps for the 2-1 nap transition but are hoping the initial tweaks to the routine fix things before considering this as an option.

36. 10 Tips for Preventing Bedtime Battles with Kaylee Woodard
Let's paint a picture...
It's 6:30 p.m. and you've just managed to "help" the kids clean up the playroom. You dread this time of night because you know the next 60-90 minutes is the hardest part of your day. You're longing for your kids to go to bed peacefully, but there's a 75% chance either you or they will end up in tears throughout the bedtime process. You're longing for the day to be over so you can get some alone time. And, even if they don't realize it, they're probably longing for the exact same things that you are - peace and quiet so they can rest.
It's a constant battle. No two nights are the same. Sometimes the kids are asleep by 7:30, and other nights you find yourself sneaking out of their bedroom, finally, by 9:00.
What if I told you that you could have a predictable routine, where after 40 minutes or so, your little one is in bed. You can walk out of the room and move on with your evening. The night is still young. And, the best part? No one is left in tears!
In this episode of the Coffee & Catnaps Parenting Podcast. Kaylee Woodard (pediatric and NICU occupational therapist and owner of @restedroos) and I go through 10 tips you can start implementing TONIGHT to see some improvement right away! And, as with anything, stay consistent to see optimal results.
