Episode 160: Understanding the importance of building relationships
Ok....so a little different topic today. Wanted to talk about sales & building relationships & why that latter part is critical to your success in this arena.
Episode 159: Soccer season has kicked off. Training & coaching impact
Soccer season has kicked off. Embarrassing my players because I love them. Coaching is impactful & your more powerful than you think you are.
Episode 158: Somber reminder of your impact
This is likely a depressing listen. A friend of mine left this world & she was so so sad. I'm struggling with it & I wanted to remind everyone of the impact they can have on other people. Even though sometimes it doesn't happen, we do have the power to affect change. It won't work every time but isn't it worth it to keep trying?
Episode 157: Thoughts on self love & self responsibility
I've had several conversations this week revolving around this specific topic & it seems pertinent to get my happy a$$ back in here to talk about it.
If you're struggling, please reach out. To someone, somewhere. Face to face connection is a powerful piece to our lives. Be liberal with your smile, you never know how much it can help someone out.
Episode 156: Erin is a slacker
It's been a month. Ugh. Sorry for being such a slacker. And this episode is probably garbage so there's that. Random ramblings. My brain is somewhere - I need to go find it.
Episode 155: Summer Smash recap, Andy's speech & soul punching duties.
This past weekend, Thursday through Saturday I had the great opportunity to attend Summer Smash (again) in St. Louis at 1st Phorm HQ. A weekend immersed in the people, the culture & the MISSION of why we do what we do every day. Kinda long winded. There is a funny recap of me being an idiot as well as Andy's speech from the opening ceremony on Saturday before the big party.
I truly hope you listen to this entire episode. Andy's message is nothing like you've ever heard from him before. All my love friends. Thank you for sharing the message.
Episode 154: Electrolytes, heat exhaustion & thoughts on intentional conversations with your kids
No starting subject today so we just roll with it ;) With weather getting warmer it makes me think about heat training, electrolytes & hydration. And some random thoughts about intentional conversations with our kids.
Episode 153: Interview with Jeanne Larsen
Today I was finally able to chat with Jeanne Larsen about her recent trials she's been dealt, how she is handling some pretty significant life challenges & changes. She shares a bit of her story with me & I am ever so grateful for her willingness to share. I have gotten to know her the past couple of years through the studio here, classes she has attended, a business mastermind I coerced her into attending & general conversations. And I have come to learn that her quiet & gentle persona is purely a front......inside lies an absolute savage filled with determination, independence & the greatest will to fight I have had the privilege to meet.
Jeanne, thank you for joining me today & I am excited to see where your resilience takes you. I am ever so grateful for our friendship. You have taught me a few things along the way. And I didn't say this on air because I didn't want both of us to be a bawling mess. I appreciate you so much.
You can find Jeanne's bakery on Facebook. Or you can email her directly at MsQsTreats@gmail.com
I HIGHLY recommend her Lemon Bars AND Angel Food Cake!!! You seriously do not even know they are gluten free. So good.
Episode 152: Chatting with Danielle today
Life, kids, advocating for yourself & your kids. Living the example and recording belches. :)
Episode 151: Racing & communication & comfort
Looking forward to racing this weekend & also looking at challenging myself with some more difficult conditions & longer distances. A few thoughts on getting uncomfortable & communication.
Episode 150: Talking about snot & sleep walking with Danielle today
Is it inappropriate to talk about snot & sleepwalking on a podcast? HA! Oh well. Our GAF meters broke a long time ago. Enjoy!
Episode 149: Gaming systems & starting crap on social media
Several months ago Alex's PlayStation got boxed up & put away for the rest of the school year. And things have been going better because of it. His attitude has improved, his grades are finally improving & he's a nice kid to be around now. A few days ago I commented on an IG post that info & wow, the response was way more than I anticipated it would be. Mostly good & in agreement/similar struggles....obviously a few haters, whatever. So today I wanted to talk about this topic some.
I also mentioned the My Ascension documentary showing this week at some places so here's the link for the showings.
Episode 148: An open chat with my mom about my younger brother Curtis.
March is National Down Syndrome Awareness month. Who better to talk about personal experiences with Down Syndrome than my mom. My younger brother Curtis was born in 1982 with Down Syndrome & a defective heart. He was one of the youngest people to ever have open heart surgery. I learned a whole lot experiencing Curtis first hand growing up. It literally changed my life. My sister Amie & I are pledged to put in 321 miles for the month of March. 3.21 is Down Syndrome Day. If you would like to donate, you can use this link. All money raised goes to supporting people with Down & educating people on Down Syndrome. So this holds a pretty special place in our hearts. I hope you enjoy the stories!
Episode 147: Talking about Impact & Gratitude with Danielle Schares
A little discussion about Impact on people & community today with my partner Danielle Schares.
Episode 146: Things that make you go hmmm
You ever have a thought that just nags at your brain? Like this picture in your head of something that you just can't shake? Is it the path or is it just ADD? Can anyone else relate?
Episode 145: AE jeans from the outlet are NOT squat proof
Oh my MAMA! I had THE most HILARIOUS experience last night at the grocery store......also, hopefully the volume level doesn't make your eardrums bleed from the intro. But just playing with some stuff trying to find my sweet spot.
Episode 144: Challenges or Opportunities
Kind of been in a life reflective frame of mind lately. The obstacle is the opportunity has been a theme for me for quite a while. Embrace the suck friends.
Episode 143: My thoughts after talking with Pastor Mandy! And some other ramblings but you know.
Whew!! Wow what a day this has been! I had the opportunity to visit with my dear friend Mandy McCleary on her Facebook page for a live interview & it was SUCH an awesome chat!!! Y'all know I'm a huge people person & getting to chat with her about life, her wellness journey & the craziness of life was such a great experience. Of course we went twice as long as she normally does because I don't know how not to talk a lot....I know, you're shocked. HA! Go check out her page! She is the absolute sweetest person with such a fantastic message. She's been vlogging her journey for 171 weeks!!! That is some dedication!! I linked her FB page on her name or right here.
Episode 142: New equipment who dis?!
So I'm nerding out a bit about some new audio equipment. I'm really wanting to add guests to my podcast & I don't want to feel like we're making out over 1 mic so with a little YouTube help, a referral from a friend & help from Guitar Center guys, I was able to get this setup set up!
Some thoughts today on the process on reaching goals & the boring processes of making those happen. Following the plan & executing.
Episode 141: Let's talk 2023 & where we're at.
My audio is straight freaking garbage so I apologize up front! But that cannot be my excuse to not show up. 2023 is here loud & proud & got got goals to crush. Let's go my friends!! Light your OWN fire & someone else's!
Episode 140: Post Christmas & 2023 Goals
Man I really feel off my meds or something in this podcast....kidding, kinda....I'm not on any meds. But my brain is just like out in left field. WHAT! Driving the struggle bus with this injury & trying to stay outta my head about it but failing miserably. Also....here's the link to the FB group that my good friend Amy has, Simply Amy Boutique! You have to join the group to be able to see her stuff & I HIGHLY recommend it!
Episode 139: Saturday ramblings
Sometimes its just a matter of showing tf up.
Episode 139: Post Thanksgiving hangover recap
Whew! I took a week off with a post Thanksgiving hangover but back again today. Not a day late WTF cast today but more back to the usual stuff....with a little squirrel. Why is getting our physical health in good condition is so important. To us, to our kids, to literally everything.
And I attempted to record video as well & well.....that didn't work out so well. Maybe next time. So just ignore the reference to watching the video, because that isn't happening. It also made my audio wonk, so here we are. Learning curve.
Episode 136: 2 week hiatus, learning new things & a GOTR recap
The past 2 weeks have been something else.

Episode 128: What inspires me?
After yesterday's rant, and then this morning's listen to my coach's podcast....you can check that out here....I wanted to talk about what inspires me to do the things I do. It's something I've thought about a lot but hadn't really ever put my finger on until the last year or so with the help of a good friend & mentor, Dustin Behn. And Murph (my coach) has mentioned it on his podcast so I figured I would oblige & put it out there.
Episode 127: WTF Wednesday
Welcome to the first WTF Wednesday - Why The Fitness Wednesday - haha and you thought......
Today I tried really hard to stay on topic. Y'all know I struggle with this hardcore. But practice makes progress so here we go. We are adding more things to offer to our peeps here at the studio (Holistic Hippie) and we are working on creating more content to help more people. So here we go. And I promise, I'm working on reigning in that herd of squirrels, but let's be real - y'all know me.
Episode 126: Back to School, summer jobs & life experiences
YEAH for back to school!!! I am super thankful we live in a community with a small, down to earth school. Nothing crazy this week other than schedules. Alex finally passes me on the height scale & Jena's question of the day may lead to day drinking later on. And some thoughts on volunteer coaching.
Episode 125: I had a topic but you know how that goes around here.

Episode 124: Do Epic $hit, FB Jail - yes again & a few influential people in my life
I picked up my Do Epic $hit tank this morning & it reminded me of how this mantra started for me & how I've used it in my life the past several years. Crazy how a small little thing can turn out to have a huge impact on your life. Just like you can have a huge impact on other people's lives & you may never know it.
What I said to land myself back in the FB slammer. Yes, its dumb. No, I probably won't stop.
3 hugely influential people in my life that don't even know me.

All up in my head for the past several months is causing me some issues with literally everything. Frustration running at almost max capacity & in order to get it straightened out, 75 Hard...even if I did eff it up & have to restart.

Episode 116: I'm losing it up in here - you've been warned....rant
