Navigating Social Media in the B2B Space with Sam Riegsecker

Social media is here to stay and even B2B businesses find that they need a presence on at least one or two of them to continue to grow. Here’s what we’ve learned about navigating this online terrain.

Sam Riegsecker steps out from his behind-the-scenes role as Marketing Manager for Double A Solutions to join us behind the mic. Sam has been doing marketing since long before he received his degree for it, both for Double A and his company.

This month on Everyday Business Solutions we talked about navigating social media marketing as a B2B business. Some may disagree, but it seems that social media is here to stay and it’s almost a requirement to be on at least one or two.

She would have to work remotely from the start and the temporary arrangement is quickly dragging into a full year of her employment.

However, working remotely hasn’t been a negative experience for her. In fact, she’s enjoyed the experience a lot, preferring it to being in-office, and she’s not the only one. Many employees across the globe have found remote work to be a more desirable alternative to returning to their offices. In my conversation with Hanna we broke down her experiences so far and some things employers should consider moving forward.

How to Develop Better Interpersonal Skills with Marlon Lyons

How to Develop Better Interpersonal Skills with Marlon Lyons

In networking, team building, marketing, sales, and just about everything else you do, relationship-building is vital, but it can also be tricky. To be good at building the different complex relationships that make up your professional career takes work and understanding. This week we broke down what the key elements to do that are.

Marlon Lyons leads his own Insurance Agency, I.C.Y. Legacy, and does business development and sales for Absolute Asset Protection in Detroit, Michigan. Marlon decided to go independent to give himself the flexibility to coach his employees and connect to his customers in a different way.

Currently, Marlon is building and developing his team. Instead of just teaching his team to sell insurance, he’s focusing instead on their individual strengths and areas of development. He’s then working with them to develop their soft skills, one of the biggest things being their ability to connect to other people.

George Mergen and Allyson Jansen from Concentrek, a strategic marketing agency based out of Toledo, Ohio. George is the Senior Account Executive and Allyson is the Director of Content Marketing. They help a wide variety of clients in different industries with long-term goals and strategic planning.

We sat down with them to discuss both account-based and content marketing. Businesses use content marketing more and more as consumers grow tired of sales pitch after sales pitch. More are seeking information and knowledge from businesses instead of catchy or appealing ads. But that is only the tip of the iceberg. A marketing strategy is not complete without embracing account-based marketing.

S1E11: How to Use Software to Increase Your Productivity with Gavin Koontz and Erika Navarette

S1E11: How to Use Software to Increase Your Productivity with Gavin Koontz and Erika Navarette

From being able to manage leads at a faster rate and with less hassle to being able to cut back on forgetfulness and human error in the workplace, CRMs are here to stay, and here’s why!

Erika Navarette and Gavin Koontz were Neil Thobani’s first thought when I mentioned doing a podcast episode with Smart Financial. He saw a great opportunity to share the expertise of his team with our audience and we couldn’t agree more! Erika is an Account Executive Team Lead with Smart Financial and Gavin is a Senior Account Executive.

We wanted to work with Smart Financial for this episode because when the world went remote, it was usually a company’s technology that helped determine if they would be able to transition an office that had once been in-person. CRMs are browser-based customer management tools that, for many, have already been the edge up in their field. Erika and Gavin help break down why that is and what things to look for if you’re in the market for your own CRM.

S1E7: How to Remaster the Art of Networking During a Pandemic with Jessica Guzik

Whether you’re new to your field or you're a seasoned veteran in the business, you know that networking can be instrumental in your career path, but what is networking and how do you juggle it during the pandemic?

Jessica Guzik is a corporate strategist, working with a few well-known brands over the years. Like some though, Jessica considers herself introverted and the idea of networking would scare her. However, with experience, she’s realized that the art of networking lies in the strength of the connections and not necessarily the numbers.

Jessica is also a podcast host herself for the show The Art of Speaking Up. She is well versed in speaking about professional development and how to adopt who you are to your career.
