Sébastien works as a prosecutor in Canada, with extensive expertise on criminal law, public international law, constitutional law, and competition law, speaking in various countries.
Selin Ozunaldim on Activism in Turkey
17 year old Selin Ozunaldim joins “Exploring with Experts” to discuss her activism in Istanbul, Turkey. Selin is the youngest representative of the UNWomen’s global gender equality movement, “HeForShe” in Turkey, is one of 300 teenagers selected to be a UN Gender Youth Activist, and brought the “Girls Who Code” movement to Turkey. Selin also discusses imposter syndrome, anxiety, and the balance of being involved in multiple organizations.
Dr. Anu Kumar on International Reproductive Rights and Healthcare
Dr. Anu Kumar joins the podcast to discuss the push to repeal the Helms Amendment, the future of abortions in America under a new Supreme Court, the global gag rule, and colonialism in healthcare.
Dr. Kumar is the president at IPAS, an international reproductive health and rights organization that was founded in 1972. Dr. Kumar also has extensive experience as a senior program director in the Population and Reproductive Health Program, a part of the John. D and Catherine T. MacArthur foundation, and has worked within the World Health Organizations' Reproductive Health Research Division.
