Why was the Faith Community at the International Conference on Family Planning?

Faith-based organizations and actors provide a large amount of health services across the globe, often serving marginalized and vulnerable populations not reached by others. Healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies protects the health of mothers and children, which is why many faith-based health services provide family planning. In this episode of the CCIH Faith and Global Health podcast, we hear from Pastor James Mlali of Tanzania, who was at the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in November 2022. He talks about why Christians and other people of faith support family planning, why faith actors were at the conference and most importantly, why we should all be paying attention to the intersection of faith and family planning.
