I had a great conversation with Jessica Beard.  Jessica Beard is a professional sprinter who specializes in the 400m.  She has been on the USA Women's  4 x 400m relay teams that have won gold medals at world championships most recently in Doha.  She also was blessed to be on the 1st ever mixed 4x400m team that set the world record in the prelims and also won a gold medal.   Listen to her awesome journey as she was a Christian who grew up rules based with the idea that "if you live right God will bless you."  Hear her explain after a set back in 2012 which ultimately helped her make the biggest growth in her faith journey.  If you want follow her journey and give her support on Instagram @reign2.  Please enjoy episode 10.

Today I was honored to have on Mike Cunningham, Mike was a former D1 track and field Head coach.  He has an amazing story of how he followed what he then thought was dumb luck, but after he came to the Lord, he realized that it was Jesus' hand guiding him after all.  You will here the theme of his community always inviting him to come to church wherever he was at at the time.  It was a fun conversation to hear this track coach, turned professional poker player to landing at Gill Athletics as the  National sales manager.  You can follow Mike on Instagram, @mikecunninghman1976 or subscribe to his Podcast Gill athletics connection.

Today I was blessed to speak with Southeastern Louisiana Head track and field coach Corey Mistretta.  What a fun conversation to hear his story about his upbringing, in a strict regimented catholic home to the day that he found Jesus and made him his friend.  You will hear his story and journey to how he tried to find success in the business world but realizing he was called to be a teacher.  Coach is a man of God who coaches his athletes in a way they know that.  So many good stories! Today I had the honor of chatting with Olympic Hopeful Jordan Gray.  She currently the American record holder in the decathlon and is an ambassador to get the event into to world championships and hopefully in the Olympics.  Jordan has an amazing story of her start of track and field career through her time at Kennesaw State University. Where among other accomplishments was a   3x NCAA D1 all American.  You will hear an amazing story about overcoming a skin disease that change her perspective on her faith and competing.  It was a blessing to have Jordan on, the podcast. Today I had the honor of chatting with College Javelin thrower Jesse Newman.  I met Jesse Through a mutual friend and has become a good friend.  Jesse is a Senior at Grand Canyon University, hoping to finish his throwing career this spring.  He was effected by Covid and you will hear about his process of deciding whether to go back or not to go back.   Jesse’s is a javelin thrower his High school PR: 198ft, College PR: 71.57m

He is a 2x WAC champion, also finished 9th at NCAA D1 National Championships just 1 place short of being an All American

And in 2018 Competed on Team USA U23 NACAC Team in Mexico. You will get to hear him share his experience with this as well.  It was awesome to hear Jesse’s story as a college - walk on turned NCAA D1 National championship participant.  Hope you enjoy episode 1 with Jesse Newman
