Goodbye and thanks : As I was getting ready to record this episode, with a review of Phoenix Rising's game on August 27, 2022 which ended in a 3-1 loss to El Paso Locomotive in Week 25 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship), I found myself thinking about the great times I had as a supporter of this club during the Rick Schantz era (Head Coach 2018-2022).  I realized that finding this club, when I did, was a dream come true..  Creating this pod allowed me to share my passion and connect with the Rising community and now is the perfect time to stop and let those days and those incredible memories stand alone in this space.  I hope you'll understand and I hope you enjoy hearing the full story in this episode.

Phoenix Rising FC end Week 23 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship) with a loss to Orange County SC.  Rising are in 10th spot but need to be in the top 7 to make the playoffs.  It's fair to say that we're not exactly delighted with the outcome of this away game.

Phoenix Rising FC end Week 22 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship) with a nil all draw against Las Vegas Lights!!  This gives us 5 consecutive clean sheets (8 overall) and sees us with 5 draws, all coming in the last 7 games.  Rising are moved up one place in the standings in each of the last three weeks and currently sit at 9th position, two away from a playoff spot.

Phoenix Rising FC end Week 21 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship) with a nil all draw against Oakland Roots and a dominant 4-0 win over Colorado Springs Switchbacks which included an INCREDIBLE OLYMPICO from Aodhan Quinn!!  The game against Colorado came on the heals of a heavy thunderstorm that dumped rain on the valley.  It didn't dampen our spirits - the fans showed up, the team showed up, and the goals most certainly showed up.

Phoenix Rising FC have a bye week in Week 19 of the USL Championship (Twitter: @USLChampionship).  No game so we decided to dig around in the dirt to see if there were any interesting takeaways from what we have been amassing over the last 18 weeks. I can hardly remember when we had so much fun in this treasure chest or learned so much about this team!

Back then the team was known as Arizona United. Jeff Wendt is here to reflect on our run in the US Open Cup and to talk about that forth round Open Cup game back in 2014 where Arizona United hosted La Galaxy.  Here's a recording of the game on YouTube.
