This message is a foundational message in Pastor Luke Gardner's series titled "Walking in Wisdom- a series in Proverbs". Based on Proverbs 14:2 and Proverbs 16:2, Pastor Luke explains that every one of us possesses a cunning, deceptive, and incurable mind. Our heart is a master of deceiving us and, if we are not careful, our heart will surely deceive us about spiritual matters.

Our heart deceives us in 2 ways:

1-Singular Way - Proverbs 14:12 - Our mind is a master at deceiving us into believing that our way is the best way. The wide path that seems so appropriate for us to follow is actually the path to destruction.

2-Plural Ways - Proverbs 16:2 - All our ways seem right to us if not compared to God's standards. However, the Lord evaluates our actions based on the motives of our heart.

We need a constant confrontation with the Truth.

-The Truth of the Almighty God. We should be humbled by His omnipotence.

-The Truth of God's Word. His Word will pierce through what seems to be right to show us God's way.

-The Truth of the Gospel - God's love has been demonstrated to us in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Even when we were sinners, Christ died for us. He is on our side and is anxious to teach us His ways.

4-Beatitudes: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness - Matthew 5:6
