The State of Maryland has amended the state’s antidiscrimination law to prohibit employment discrimination based on certain traits, such as hairstyle and hair texture, associated with race. The State of Maryland rolled out a mini-WARN law that provides for written notifications to employees in cases where an employer experiences certain threshold reductions in operations. The $2 trillion economic relief bill that was signed by 45 to offer assistance to millions of American households that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
