Pandemic Projects, Passions and Non-Profits
Join Christine (she/her) from Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Treaty 6) and I as we discuss her mental health journey and her pandemic project, A Tin A Day. During the midst of the pandemic, Christine created a non-profit called A Tin A Day (ATAD), which creates self-care tins from tins that would’ve indeed ended up in the landfills and uses them to fill with essential and mental health products for low-income and at-risk individuals in her city, which also includes a QR code inside that directs those to a mental health website she created. Christine opens up about her struggles with mental health issues and how she has used them to spread her passion for mental health issues and create a positive impact in her community. You can stay connected with Christine on social media via Instagram @christinemhw or @atinaday.atad.
