Beating the system, convincing the jury, making a deal, smashing the state, crushing the closing, destroying the evidence…Wait, maybe not destroying the evidence….Suppressing the evidence and manipulating the system all in the name of constitutionality. If you end up on the wrong side of the law, you’re probably going to get offered one of theses deals: It's called a plea bargain. But is this a game of let's make a deal, the price is right, the wheel of fortune, or double jeopardy? The plea bargain is a negotiation between the prosecution and the defense in order to reduce the amount of cases that will go to trial in an already over burdened criminal justice system.

The number one call that most cops are afraid to answer is a domestic dispute. Why? Because that's when people are at their most vulnerable, emotional, and unpredictable. Florida is one of only four states that permanently bans convicted felons from ever voting again in their life. The other three are Kentucky, Iowa, and Virginia. Why is Florida an outlier in restoring felon’s rights?

Weed, herb, pot, cannabis, good stuff, that sticky icky, chronic, krippie, marijuana, maryjane, OG Kush, Sour Diesel, Purple Urkle, Trainwreck...whatever you call it, in Florida it can still send you to prison. Recreational states have collected over a billion dollars in tax revenue on marijuana, but no state in the South has legalized it for adult use. Many think that Florida could be first. Gloria Taylor is almost 30 years into a life sentence for non violent drug trafficking. The Assistant U.S. Attorney offered to drop counts against Gloria if she would agree to be sentenced as a habitual felony offender. At their discretion, the judge and prosecutor maxed out her sentence at 999 years. Now, her daughter Gemena Taylor has started a petition to raise awareness and seek clemency for her mother. Should Gloria Taylor should spend more than 30 years in prison for $5,000 worth of drugs?

On Valentines Day 2018, one of the world's deadliest school shootings took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. We speak with Mr. Chris Mattox, a teacher at the school who was on campus the day of the shooting; Daisy Baez, a former Florida state rep with a U.S. Army background; and Francisco Alvarado, award winning investigative journalist.
