Helen Wyman - Righting the wrongs
Helen Wyman is a 10x British National Champion, European Champion, and World Championships medallist in cyclocross. She retired from racing in 2018 and has become a commentator on the RedBull coverage of the biggest races. Since here retirement from racing, Helen also became a mother. On top of all her accomplishments on the bike, Helen has been a key player in making the sport of cyclocross more inclusive and equal for women. In this conversation, we discuss Helen’s career and how the sport changed throughout her career. From having no World Cup races and no prize money for women in her beginnings, to having the women’s races televised, bringing equal prize money, and creating a Junior Women’s category, Helen has been a key player in making those changes happen.

Antoine Duchesne, Cycliste Professionnel - Assumer ses choix et en ressortir le meilleur
Antoine Duchesne est un des rares cyclistes professionnels Canadiens à courir sur le World Tour (le plus haut niveau mondial en cyclisme sur route). À l'approche de la saison 2021, on discute de sa préparation, puis de son retour sur le circuit après une année difficile où il a fait face à plusieurs embuches de santé. On discute des détails sur la structure d'une équipe World Tour, on démystifie le rôle d'équipier, puis on parle de la réalité pas toujours rose d'être cycliste pro Nord Américain dans un sport traditionnellement Européen. Enfin, on touche aussi sur la seconde passion d'Antoine (le vin) et de comment il a su tourner une situation difficile à son avantage pour enrichir sa passion et ses connaissances sur le vin...et bien plus!

Waldek Stepniowski, Team Manager of the CLIF Pro Team - On being resourceful
Waldek Stepniowski has been the team manager on the CLIF Pro Team (one of the most successful women's mountain bike team in the world) for the last 20 years. Waldek grew up in Poland during the Eastern Block, and through bike racing, managed to escape the country in a quest for a better life and more opportunities. After months in a refugee camp, Waldek made his way to the USA, arriving in a new country where he didn't speak the language, with no money, and no ressource. This is the story of how Waldek's determination, as well as his passion for cycling, allowed him to create a fulfilling career and great life for himself.
Pascal Plante - Cinéaste et ex-athlète de haut niveau (Réalisateur du film Nadia, Butterfly)
Pascal Plante est un cinéaste Québecois et un ancien nageur de haut niveau. Récemment, Pascal a réalisé le long-métrage Nadia, Butterfly qui a été au cinéma cet automne. Dans ce film, il combine ses deux passions du cinéma et de la natation, en créant un film qui suit l'évolution psychologique d'une nageuse olympique qui se prépare à prendre sa retraite. Nadia, Butterfly est un film de sport unique parce qu'il n'est pas basé sur uniquement le triomphe d'un athlète; il présente plutôt les vrais questionnements qu'un athlète typique vit. Durant cette conversation, Pascal et moi discutons de ses objectifs et de son processus créatif en créant le film Nadia, Butterfly. On parle aussi du parcours de Pascal, de l'importance de faire ses preuves, de l'importance de la constance, de comment on arrive à faire carrière en cinéma, des similarités et des différences entre les mondes du sport et des arts, et bien plus.

Mary Tolosa, CMF Designer at Specialized - On colors and why bikes are painted the way they are
Have you ever wondered why a bike is painted the way it is? Why was that color chosen, and how was it chosen? In this episode, we speak with the person who is in charge of making those decisions. Mary Tolosa is the Color, Material, & Finish Designer at Specialized Bicycles. During our conversation, we talk about how they decide colors and design for the bike collections and discuss how the model, the type of bike, and the personality of the bike, and many other factors influence those decision. We also talk about how Mary is a lifelong learner who always seeks to better herself, and how those characteristics helped her to forge a unique path to create a career for herself in the field she is passionate about. Colors are more complex than we think, and during this episode, Mary opens a window into the world of color and design.

Brian Fruit, Founder of Lizard Skins on why we should keep striving to learn, and how to be a good entrepreneur
Brian Fruit started being in the business of cycling as a college student when he decided to sell bike parts that he purchased from a local store that was going out of business. He was already a passionate cyclist, but at that moment, he became equally as passionate with business. With a friend, he started Lizard Skins in 1993 by making neoprene chain stay, and since then, the company has grown to make gloves, grips, protective gear, and are renowned world wide for their bar tape that is being used not only on highest stage in cycling, but also in the Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, and Lacrosse. Throughout this episode, Brian expresses amazing advice on how to be a good leader, the importance of not having an ego, and why it’s important to always strive to keep learning.
Nowadays, on top of being the owner of Lizard Skins, Brian also owns two bike stores in Utah. This is the story of a passionate cyclist and entrepreneur, and how he created the company Lizard Skins.
Jean-François Ménard, préparateur mental - Comment optimiser sa performance
Jean-Francois Ménard est un coach en préparation mental, conférencier, et auteur du livre L’Olympien au bureau. Jean-François travaille avec plusieurs des meilleures athlètes au pays afin de les aider dans leur préparation pour optimiser leur performance. Dans cette conversation, nous discutons de quelques concepts de la préparation mentale. JF nous enseigne ce que veut vraiment dire d’être “fort mentalement” et on apprend à faire la nuance entre une bonne attitude et une attitude positive. On parle aussi d’astuces pour apprendre à se concentrer “sur les bonnes choses”, et de l’importance d’être un “student of the game”. Comme à son habitude, JF nous enseigne ces concepts à travers des tonnes d’anecdotes et d’expériences qu’il a vécues à travers sa carrière.
Heidi Myers, Founder of Rasputitsa Spring Classic
Heidi Myers is the co-founder of the Rasputitsa Spring Classic gravel event. I wanted to talk to Heidi because I really like her perspective on bike racing, and as a race organizer in the rapidly-growing discipline of gravel, she has a front-row seat in seeing how the discipline is evolving. Heidi spends a lot of time thinking about how to make cycling more inclusive and fun for more people, so I wanted to pick her brains on that. We talk about how putting friendship, community & environment at the forefront of their business values ended up making Rasputitsa one of the biggest gravel event in the country. Finally we talk about the fact that Heidi was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson Disease at the age of 37, how living with this disease changed her perspective, and why it's important for her to be open about how she lives with that disease.
David Gagnon, Entraîneur

Nathalie Schneitter, First ever E-MTB World Champion
I sat down with Nathalie the day after the 2020 E-MTB World Championships in Austria, and we discussed the differences between high performance is perceived in Europe VS North America, we chat about the epic battle we had together at the inaugural e-mtb world Championships, about how she managed to keep an awesome lifestyle after retiring from pro cycling, and much more. Nathalie Schneitter is a rider from Switzerland…I simply say “rider", because she rides everything. In her career, she competed at the 2008 Olympics in cross-country mountain bike and she won many titles in that discipline. In 2015, she stepped away from her career as a full-time racer to pursue other goals, but the cycling world called her again. In 2019, she became the first ever E-MTB (electric mountain bike) World Champion. She’s a commentator on RedBull TV for the German audience, she coaches athletes like Enduro Israeli superstar Noga Korem, and she keeps adventuring on two wheels for every project that sounds crazy, fun, and challenging.
Louis Bertrand, la voix du cyclisme au Québec
Louis Bertrand est vraisemblablement LA voix du cyclisme au Québec. Pendant des années, nous l'avons entendu au Tour de France, aux Jeux Olympiques, et il est maintenant la voix des courses World Tour à Montréal et à Québec. Dans cet épisode bien spécial, je suis accompagnée d'Antoine Duchesne (cycliste professionnel pour Groupama FDJ), et on inverse les rôles alors qu'Antoine et moi passons Louis en entrevue afin de connaître l'homme derrière la voix. On discute de l'origine de sa passion pour le vélo, de l'histoire du cyclisme au Québec, de l'état actuel du sport, et bien plus.
Doug & Lisa Hudson, Founders of Feedback Sports
Doug and Lisa Hudson have always been into cycling and outdoors. Just out of college, as he was travelling the country and living out of his van, Doug founded a company called Chrome Industries, which made mountain bike baggy shorts and gear. But this episode is not about Chrome Industries. In fact, later in his life, Doug had the idea for a specific bike scale, and his wife Lisa Hudson encouraged him to build it. The company Feedback Sports was born with this first product. Nowadays, Feedback Sports products are used by many of the best cycling teams in the world. The company has grown tremendously, but the same passion for cycling that Lisa and Doug Hudson had has not changed a bit. This is the story of two passionate cyclists and entrepreneurs, and how they built Feedback Sports.
Andréane Lanthier Nadeau, Championne en vélo de montagne Enduro
Andréane Lanthier Nadeau est une athlète Québécoise en vélo de montagne qui évolue sur la scène internationale en vélo de montagne, dans la discipline de l'Enduro. En 2019, Andréane a terminé 3e au classement cumulatif du Enduro World Series (la plus grosse série de courses d'enduro au monde), elle a figuré dans plusieurs films de vélo de montagne et elle est une des meilleures "riders" au monde. Dans cette conversation, on parle de comment Andréane a vécu sa transition du vélo cross-country à l'enduro, de comment elle travaille son état d'esprit pour optimiser sa performance, de comment les blessures qu'elle eues dans sa carrière font d'elle une meilleure athlète, de sa perspective face à la place des femmes dans un sport "extrême" comme le vélo de montagne, et bien plus.

Gabriel Dulong, Maître Brasseur chez Boréale
Gabriel Dulong est le maître brasseur chez Boréale depuis 6 ans. Entre autre, Gabriel est l'artiste derrière l'IPA du Nord Est, qui a été nommée meilleure bière au monde. On discute de ses débuts en tant que brasseur, de ses inspirations, de comment il a réussi à créer 37 nouvelles bière dans la première année, et de comment il continue à travailler son art et à rester motiver.

She won multiple National Championships and found herself on the podium of many cross-country mountain bike World Cups, and World Championships. Georgia is now a mother of two wonderful children, and in this conversation, we talk about how her perspective on life and racing changed after giving birth, and how honesty and self-awareness have been important in her career to achieve success. We also chat about how she was the driving force in creating equal opportunities in the sport of mountain biking, and much more.
