A Swede and a Mexican get together over a cup of coffee (or a fika, if you’re Swedish) to talk about films. Join us this week as we talk about book to movie adaptations and how studio interference and production woes doomed the fate of this week's film Dune. Written and directed by David Lynch, Dune stars Kyle MacLachlan, Francesca Annis, Patrick Stewart, Kenneth McMillan and Sting (in an electric blue speedo that is forever seared into our brains.) The film is a 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert's classic epic Sci-fi DUNE.
