I believe that you have not made a budget for your business then you have planned to fail.  The budget in your business is a direct reflection of every aspect of your business.  A budget helps set up you chart of accounts, pulling financial reports, and sets your prices.

Having your chart of accounts set up correctly to be able to pull information to stay informed with the financial health of your business.  Can you hire, are your marketing efforts bringing a ROI(Return on Investment).  Your bookkeeper should not only be pulling your financial reports but explain what it means for your business.
