Jenna Talleda has been practicing nutrition since 2004 and became a Registered Dietitian in 2007. She became a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor after reading the book on Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch, where she learned about helping clients with eating disorders. As she read the book, she found that she too had a poor relationship with food and her body. She began to implement the principles of Intuitive Eating into her life, and started developing self compassion and curiosity instead of judgment and shame. Having spent her career studying the concepts of courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy and having authored seven books including five New York Times best-sellers, Brown hosts the Unlocking Us podcast, and her TED talk, "The Power of Vulnerability", has been widely viewed.
