Don’t Wait Last Minute to do your Work. Beat the deadline.

Up early and at it. Some entrepreneurs, freelancers, business people, employees have the tendency to wait last minute to do the work. Don’t! All im saying is, don’t give yourself extra stress. Get your work done as it comes in and lower your stress.

Working Out In My Head How to Be the Most Efficient

Working Out In My Head How to Be the Most Efficient

Getting a bunch done, but now I think I need a nap. This is me talking to myself before napping. I’ve been working crazy hard on making a system for myself where I’m super-efficient and have maximum output. You’re probably thinking … what the heck are you talking about? See I’m trying to make songs really quickly, but make them still sound good. In that process, I want to film it and bust it down for content. Problem is I’m still a novice with video, and working on my skills for music production. Vocals and voiceovers I got in the bag, so I’m trying to take what I learned there and transfer those skills. Makes sense?

Constant Work in Progress

Constant Work in Progress

I think the trying here is to not be concerned with perfection. Instead focus on output. See you business, career, skills, even your life is a constant work in progress. So why not develop in front of your audience so you can get instant feedback.

Counting Macros : Doing the Numbers and Talking Music with Zora

Im over here trying to work on my health and image and realizing it’s hard work just like every other part of being an independent artist. Counting macros and doing the numbers is just like staying on top of how your business is doing. Omg…I feel like i just gave myself more work. Later on in the day I got to kick with my youngest daughter Zora about her music taste and how she discovers new bops.

How do I go from surviving to thriving |Surviving as an Independent Artist

Fought like hell to get out of the 9 to 5 and now it’s like 6 years later. Being totally independent is cool, but how can we go from surviving as an independent artist to thriving? Don’t get me wrong, having the freedom to do whatever is priceless. That’s just the case though, why not crank this sucka up so more of the people you care about can get this same energy too. Go D.U.M.B. Take 1 Part 2 (Continued convo from the live-stream radio show this morning on Amazon's AMP app. Coming to you live every day at 11:30am EST.

univsolmc I was so AMPed about recording that live-streaming radio show this morning on @amazonmusic , I said “let me take this invite from @anchor.fm to come back and record the podcast, so I can continue my convo. What’s cool about Anchor they distribute your audio straight to Spotify, Apple, and all that good stuff…then you can start sponsorships right away. Even though I have mad experience with podcasting I found I grew my business faster doing vocals and voiceovers for other businesses via @fiverr , so I focused on that the last 6 years. See, the podcast thing like most of my other interests was growing to slow, but these bills ain’t slow in’ down. You feel me. So I have to put it down from time to time, ‘cause there’s just not enough hours in the day to do everything. That’s why I strategize & prioritize, to hopefully be able to get money 💰 from all the creative endeavors I love to do. Here’s to giving it another chance! - #univsolmc #emcee #voiceoverartist #podcasting #mondays #mondaypodcast #anchorfm #anchorfmpodcast

Do Your Thing, Your Way

Do Your Thing, Your Way

You know people will ask you if you are ok if you are not constantly posting on social media. It's kind of like if you say you don't drink, there's a big hoopla like "Whaaaat....you don't drink".  That's another subject for another time. What I've noticed by taking extended breaks from social media, I'm able to do the work that got me here. The work that matters.  You must perfect your craft at all costs. That's what brings you up to the "next level".  Social media may be a simple and cost-effective way to promote yourself or your product, service, whatever.  But the fact is, you still have to be really fly at something.  Those are the hours people don't see. And if you are constantly online, when do you put in that time.  I'm not saying don't do it. I'm saying carve out the time for the things that matter to you most. The things that will help you elevate. The things that are best for you and your family.  See how social media fits around that.  Do your thing, your way. - Uni

GET FRESH ANTHEM (V.1) [instrumental]

GET FRESH ANTHEM (V.1) [instrumental]

I’ve always wanted to create an anthem for Pop and his “Get Fresh” brand. Why? ‘Cause Juan “Popeye” Andino III has built something special during the last 20 years. He’ll tell you he’s only a barber, but the dude does so much more. From cuts to clothing, fitness to fashion, Pop is a hustler and over the years he’s even taken the time to promote what I do as a music artist. He’s let me hold clothes for video shoots, put my music up at his shop, promoted shows I’ve done, so making an anthem for his brand just seems like a no-brainer. It’s just a rough draft, but I finally have the foundation for the anthem. GET FRESH!!

Talking Wrestling, Life and Music with Coach Terrell

Coach Jared Terrell started wrestling at age 5 and learned early what hard work, focus and discipline was about. Understanding nothing comes easy he took those values with him to pursue music and talks to me about mistakes he’s made, people he admires and supporting his team at all cost.
