FnT 141: The Silent Epidemic: A pledge to stop femicide

The end of the year is always a time to draw lines, make charts and reflect on what the past year has signified. In this episode, we reflect on something that is a silent epidemic, affects many people and families in the world, and yet we hardly talk about, never mind discuss how it can be addressed. Today we talk about femicide. It might feel uncomfortable to learn about the size of this problem, and we appreciate this might not be the time of the year when you want to dwell on distressing topics, but I hope that as we sit around our tables cheering in gratitude for what we received and hopes for a better future, we can also add a wish that heinous acts of killing girls and women by the hand of someone in their personal sphere will end. Let’s all make a pledge to talk, seek solutions, campaign, support and do whatever it takes so that no other life is lost. Let’s all make a pledge to educate today’s children, boys and girls, to become better future men and women that will know how to deal with their emotions in a healthy way, they’ll know what true love is, they’ll show respect for their partner and life. Let’s come together to say NO MORE!

FnT 140: Alone, not lonely: Navigating the holidays in solitude

Today, we reflect on how solitude feels, and what impact it can have on our mental well-being, especially during the holidays when everybody around us is celebrating. In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, we can get so caught up by adhering to the season tradition that little time is left to us to stop, and reflect, and even perhaps to consider what this festive period might signify for those who spend this time of the year in solitude, whether out of choice or circumstances. We also take this opportunity to ask ourselves how we can rise above the loneliness feelings and instead embrace, and perhaps even make sense of the holidays spent alone.

FnT 135: Healing from a close friend's betrayal

In this episode, we reflect on what a close friend betrayal entitles to. Overcoming betrayal is not a simple or swift process, but it's one that demands resilience and introspection. Starting from a personal experience, we dive into the intricate emotional rollercoaster that a friend betrayal puts us on and discover the path to healing and personal growth. We explore the nuanced impacts of betrayal on trust, relationships, and individual well-being, and discuss why overcoming the emotional toll of betrayal can be really hard, but most importantly we reflect how self-reflection and healthy boundaries can guide the journey towards healing from the deep wounds of betrayal. FnT 134: Going for what you want after 50 with Alicia Berberich

In today’s episode, we talk with Alicia Berberich, a motivation and manifesting coach, who is passionate about helping women unleash their true potential so that they can reach their destiny. With Alicia, we discuss about the challenges of moving across the midlife period, when desire to achieve more crashes with fear, self-doubts. During this period, many parents also experience the empty nest syndrome that make going for one’s desired life even more challenging. And if, on the one hand, the empty nest leaves them with time and space to consider all the dreams and projects they postponed for so long, on the other hand, self-doubts and imposter syndrome can stop them from going for what they want. With that in mind, supported by Alicia, we embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and unearthing our true potential, because life starts at 50.

In today’s episode, we talk with Wendy Cole, a Transition Mentor, about embracing who you really are. FnT 130: The Emotional toll of being scammed and how to heal from it

FnT 130: The Emotional toll of being scammed and how to heal from it

In today’s episode, we delve deep into the world of scams and the often underestimated emotional toll they inflict on the victims. From heart-wrenching online romance deceptions to elaborate financial frauds, the intricate web of deceit can trap anyone, regardless of age or background. Realising that you have been scammed takes you from the initial shock, to the crippling embarrassment, through the overwhelming anger, down to the self-doubt and affected self-confidence. These emotions can linger, casting a long shadow on a person's mental and emotional well-being. Shame, guilt, frustration, or desperation are often some of the emotions we develop. But when we find the strength to raise above what happened and those emotions, we might be able to learn an invaluable lesson, and perhaps even turn that mess into a powerful message. This episode is a profoundly personal journey.

FnT 128: Unravelling Mother Wound: Healing, Self-Love, and Empowerment with Geraldine Crane

In today’s episode, we talk with Geraldine Crane, Spiritual Mentor, Coach, Hypnotherapist and Speaker, about healing hearts that have been hurt by their relationship with their mothers.  Talking about that relationship can often feel uncomfortable if it is a toxic or difficult relationship. Many feelings, like guilt and shame, or even fear of judgment from others, come into play and often prevent many even from realising all the consequences of this toxic relationship. So, what to do? Like any other relationship, sometimes the relationship that some of us have with their mother is too toxic and disruptive to be saved, and we have to have the courage to release that relationship from our life. With Geraldine, we discuss how one can find peace, regain their strength, and develop a loving relationship with themselves, so they can have happier, healthier relationships with others.

FnT 116: Ancient and new age healing modalities for trauma and suffering with Beth Bell

In today’s episode, we talk with Beth Bell, a former marketing executive in the pharmaceutical industry, turned entrepreneur, radio/TV show host and author, about alternative, yet controversial healing modalities for trauma and suffering. With Beth, who also serves as a "multi-dimensional advisor" for CEOs and psychedelic pharmaceutical companies, we take a deep dive into the world of psychedelic therapy and explore its potential to transform mental health treatment. After being stigmatised and criminalised for decades, psychedelics are now gaining attention as a promising treatment option for a range of mental health disorders, from PTSD to depression and anxiety. Beth shares her insights on the behind the scenes of psychedelic therapy, the results of recent studies, and the challenges and opportunities that come with this emerging form of treatment. We also discuss the common concerns and stigmas around psychedelic therapy and how to build greater awareness and understanding of psychedelics as a possible treatment option.

While we believe that choosing psychedelics is a very personal choice, and as suggested by Beth, you shouldn’t enter this practice if you’re not ready for it, we stress the importance of gathering as much information as possible, and perform your due diligence by rigorously vetting the servers, their intentions, the plant(s) used during the ceremony, the people in attendance and their intentions, and always put your personal safety first.

FnT 110: Life by design with Tamara Zoner

FnT 110: Life by design with Tamara Zoner

In today’s episode, we talk with Tamara Zoner, a speaker, coach, and fellow podcaster, about living a life by design. We often think – and perhaps say – of how tired, unsatisfied, and unfulfilled we are of our life. We might look back on our lives and wonder where all the time went, and why we didn't make the most of it. We might feel like we're not living up to our potential, or that we're not making a meaningful impact on the world around us. If this sounds familiar, then the good news is that it doesn't have to be this way. By intentionally designing our lives, we can create a future that aligns with our values, passions, and goals. With Tamara, we explore the concept of living a life by design, why it's important, and how you can start taking steps towards designing the life of your dreams.

FnT 106: Celebrating our second year together

Today’s episode marks the end of Year 2 of the Forgive and Thrive podcast. So, we have decided to celebrate this milestone by recalling who we have met, what we discussed about with all our guests, oh yes, all 45 of them, and some of the lessons we learned along the way. We recorded almost 50 hours of truly amazing content that I hope have helped some of you in your own life and with whatever challenges you are facing. With this, I’d like to thank, one by one, all my lovely guests for sharing so wholeheartedly with us their life experiences, and challenges, as well as their wins. We appreciate all of you for taking the time to support us in this project. Finally, a big thank you to all our listeners. This show was thought, designed, and created with you in mind, and I hope that you have found it useful, we wouldn’t make sense without you and your support. Thank-you! I count on your support for the year ahead.
