19. Kayleigh Christina: Building a CPG Brand Out of Necessity & All Things Skincare with Co-Founder of CLEARSTEM Skincare

#19. In this episode, In this episode, we are interviewing Kayleigh Christina. Kayleigh Christina is the Co-Founder and CGO of CLEARSTEM, a nontoxic anti-aging and anti-acne skincare line. As a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, published author, podcaster, and investor of wellness-based brands, Kayleigh has a deep passion for making a positive impact in other people’s lives. Her journey into the skincare world began when she developed numerous health issues - a breast tumor and severe cystic acne in her mid-twenties - and tried in vain to find a cure. After countless doctors, dermatologists, and specialists, no one could figure out what was going on. That’s when she took matters into her own hands and discovered San Diego Acne Clinic, where she met co-founder Danielle Gronich. Not only did her acne clear up, but through their sessions, the duo discovered their mutual passion for helping other acne sufferers achieve clear skin through internal and external methods without sacrificing their health. That’s when CLEARSTEM Skincare was born. As an inspiring leader in the entrepreneurship and wellness industry, Kayleigh loves talking about all things: gut health & holistic wellness, the real root causes of acne, building a community-based CPG brand, scaling a company without outside investment, leading with education first & product second, investing in other wellness brands, and the importance of having a co-founder therapist for the health of the founders and company.

#9. In this episode, we are interviewing Claire Craig, founder of Beehive, and Lauren Neal, co-founder with Claire of Lady Captain. Claire Craig founded Beehive, one of Austin's beloved women's boutiques, in 2009 shortly after she graduated from The University of Texas. In 2011 she expanded to Ft. Worth with a second location near TCU. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, she always knew that nothing was quite represented on the Gulf Coast for chic coastal wear, leading her to create just that with one of her dear friends and designer, Lauren Neal. In 2021, they opened Lady Captain, a women's boutique and clothing line located in Rockport, TX. When she is not crabbing or playing mahjong with friends, you can find Claire at home with her husband Stewart, or on a Duffy cruise around the bay. Lauren Neal is a Texas-based designer and wardrobe stylist. After attending the Savannah College of Art and Design for fashion design, Lauren returned to Texas where she developed a personal styling clientele while working as an assistant designer in Austin. After wearing various hats in the fashion industry, she still works as a freelance stylist, but her most recent endeavor finds her in Rockport, TX where she co-founded a women’s clothing line and boutique called Lady Captain with her dear friend, Claire Craig. When she is not at Lady Captain, you can find Lauren joining Claire to play mahjong with friends or hanging out with her little dog, Famous.

We hope you enjoy!

5. Alexa Curtis: Be Fearless

#5. In this episode we are interviewing entrepreneur Alexa Curtis. In 2011, at just 12 years old, Alexa started a fashion blog, called A Life in the Fashion Lane. It became a platform for her to express her feelings around everything relating to teens, body image and mental health. As Curtis evolved as a person,  A Life in the Fashion Lane was changed to Life Unfiltered with Alexa Curtis and became a lifestyle website and podcast for teens and parents discussing topics such as social media and mental health. And through cold-pitching, she managed to get sponsored by brands like British Airways, T-Mobile, and Lands End.  In 2018, Alexa founded the Be Fearless Summit, which is a pop-up summit that first appeared at Drexel University in 2020. Curtis has spoken at numerous colleges, and spoke alongside Amal Clooney and Serena Williams at Penn Women. She added ‘host to her arsenal when she launched her own radio show on Radio Disney called “Fearless Every Day” with Alexa Curtis.  When Curtis is not hard at work, she meditates frequently and makes time for hobbies like cooking and exercising to keep herself grounded.
