You can choose to leverage your purpose or settle for good enough!

Booty call is a term that became popular in the 90’s when the comedian Bill Bellamy alluded to it on an episode of Def Comedy Jam. A booty call (believe it or not is in the webster dictionary) is defined as a communication (such as a phone call or text message) by which a person arranges a sexual encounter with someone usually late at night.   A booty call is fleeting and no hints at having a devoted, loyal relationship and has no attachment outside of that sexual encounter.  Well, what I have seen in the almost 3 decades that I have been in this work, is that many people are not fully committed to their purpose let alone what it takes to serve all that need them + create a successful business from it.  It is this lack of commitment that keeps many from the income and the impact God intended for you to make in this world.  In this episode I will break down the 6 fundamental factors that must be developed so that you move past running your business like a booty call and into a level of commitment so that you can go after reaping the abundantly above all that is needed and necessary in this world!

As I was writing out the content for this episode, it made me think of the popular song a few years ago by Megan the Stallion called “I’m a Savage”.  While the lyrics in the song do not apply here, our need to be savage like a lion does apply if we want to dominate in our lane.  It is the lion’s way of being that make them more powerful than all the other prey in the jungle.    In this week’s conversation,  I will share the 4 must’s to be a savage in business.

Your heart is what we have been focusing on and looking at so far in this series because most times your head gets in the way of your heart. In the pursuit of business most focus on what you need to DO which is a function of your head and leave out your heart which is a function of your BEing.

Now that we have done the work to get your heart in alignment, the next step is to get your DOing in aligned with your BEing = get clear on WHAT action to take to get you to your harvest; the realization of a successful business. A masterpiece is a beautiful work of art, created by an extraordinarily skilled artist that is a one-of-a-kind very limited edition.  Think of the Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, the ceiling painted in The Sistine Chapel or even the design of the Palace of Versailles in Paris. There is no 2nd copy that can compare to the original version.

In the same way, God created you as a one-of-a-kind stand-alone version.  A version that as you use the DNA (distinct, natural, ability) that gifted you with you create profit, gain for you + for all that need you!  However, you can only gain when you are in alignment with the assignment, the special edition that you were created to be.  In this episode we dig into why mis-understanding your own limited edition can limit your ability to start and grow your business + ultimately be the answer you were born to be in this world!

The ability to follow directions is not limited to driving in a car, it is important in various aspects of our life

In school your ability to follow directions or instructions influence grades & your ability to matriculate to the next grade.

At work your ability to follow directions influences getting a raise and meeting the benchmarks for your job.

Even in relationships, your health, or your bank account it takes a certain amount of discipline of things to do and not to do if you want to get to a desired goal.

Well, your business is no different!

As we continue in this series, much like a GPS, God already knows the direction you should take.   The question is are you still enough to get the direction and then trust Him enough to follow it?
