Keith and Freddy wrap up a full 10 days in Madrid on both the men's and women's tours! Lots of storylines from Nadal's great week, to injuries galore, to Sabalenka/Swiatek epic final and so much more!

This week Keith, Fred and Cole recap all that happened on both tours this past week as well as a look ahead to the Madrid 1000 for both men and women!

This week the NML crew recaps the fun 10 days in Miami for the Miami Open! Danielle Collins and Jannik Sinner take home titles. Keith makes some comparisons to March Madness, Djokovic and Ivanisevic split, and lots of talk about players who just have not made the breakthrough to the next tier of players in their career!

This week, Keith, Cole and Freddy discuss the Miami Open event, some intriguing matchups so far, the return of Simona Halep and a whole lot more!

Keith and Cole breakdown a crazy Indian Wells in the desert. Somebody has to hold Djokovic accountable and the Saudis are not done with tennis...

This week, Cole rejoins the podcast after missing last week's episode! The crew goes into depth about Indian Wells, some potential late round matchups and issues with the doubles draw. The Netflix series, Break Point, is cancelled and will not be renewed for a third season. A bit sad, but they did not hit the nail on the head with this one.

This week was full of newsworthy tennis events and actions on and off the court! The PIF is now the title sponsor of the ATP Rankings as well as the ATP Finals and several Masters 1000 events. On the tennis court, we had Baez win the title in Chile, Umbert winning in Dubai over Bublik, and de Minaur winning in Acapulco back to back years! Something in the water down there for the Demon.

This week Keith and Freddy recap an event filled week on both tours! The women were in Dubai where Paolini took the title in the WTA 100 event. In Rio at the ATP 500, Joao Fonseca was the star of the week making a QF run in his home country, but it was Sebastian Baez who took the title on the dirt! In Doha, young stud, Jakub Mensik, made a huge run to the finals where he fell to Karen Khachanov! In Los Cabos, this was arguably the most stacked ATP 250 draw in recent memory! Jordan Thompson was able to fight back from 0-6 1-4 down to win his QF match against Michelson and then eventually go on to beat Zverev in the SF and Ruud in the Finals! To add to the list, Thompson won the doubles title with Purcell as well! What a week!

This week we are back after a week with technical difficulties! Keith talks about his time in Dallas at the Dallas Open, Swiatek dominating the field in Doha, Sinner wins 15 straight, and Fritz beats Tommy Paul in Delray Beach! This week we also experienced the first time ever that there is not a one-handed backhand in the ATP Top 10! Wow...the time has come..the one-hander is dying...slowly but surely. Damn. That stings for a podcast with 3 one-handers!

This week, Keith joins from Dallas, unfortunately not the Dallas Open, but the guys talk about the strong draw in Dallas, Bublik and Ostapenko winning titles, some crazy overreactions after the first slam of the year, and how we all think there could be some more education involved in today's tennis commentary!

This week's episode covers the Australian Open Final's for both the men's and the women's draw! Sabalenka cruised to victory on the women's side and Jannik Sinner wins his first Grand Slam title beating Djokovic in the semis and Medvedev in the final!

Most of the top seeds have advanced to the quarterfinals with some very intriguing matchups ahead! The NML Tennis Podcast is back for 2024! Keith, Cole and Freddy are excited for a new season of tennis and have some thoughts of their own to how the season will take shape! World Tour Finals is over! What a week it was! Turin was a great host again to this prestigious event! This week on No Mans Land, Keith, Cole and Freddy talk about Novak's incredible level to take home the trophy, who is really the threat to challenge going into 2024, and some other fun stats and info surrounding the world tour finals this year!

This week on No Mans Land, Fred is back and he joins Cole and Keith to recap the BJK Cup Finals and ATP 250's in Metz and Sofia! Canada wins the BJK Cup thanks to Cole's Concerned list curse, and Humbert and Mannarino secured titles for the final "regular season" events of the year! As the year concludes, we head into one of the most coveted events of the year, The ATP World Tour Finals, hosted in Turin, Italy. The best culminating event in sports brings together the 8 best players in the world who have spent all year proving their case to make it to Turin! Keith and Cole dive into the disaster that was the WTAs WTF, Djokovic is an alien as he wins again in Paris, the boys look ahead to the men’s World Tour Finals, Cole is on court with the ATP, and a return to Coles Concerned list!

This week on NML Tennis Podcast, the tennis world turns its focus to the WTA Finals in Cancun! It was quite a process to get here, but the week has come, the stadium is built, and the practice courts are non-existent. Keith contemplated going down to help out as a stringer for the event because they only supplied one for all 8 singles players and doubles teams participating in the WTA Finals. Wow. On the men's side, the Race to Turin ramps up and the draws seem to be getting stronger by the week. The last several ATP events have had some loaded draws. In Basel and Vienna we saw a surprising champ (Thanks, Cole) and a fantastic final between two guys at the top of the game! In the spirit of Halloween, the guys break down their version of a 'Tennis Frankenstein'. Stay tuned to find out who everyone picked!

The rumors seem to be gaining more and more traction, the ATP/WTA merger seems like it is going to happen at some point in the near future. This could be great for tennis fans all over the world and great for the future of the WTA financially. On the tennis court, Ben Shelton was able to win his first ATP Tour level title in Tokyo, taking out Aslan Karatsev. He now moves to 14 in the rankings!! The end of the season closing in on us fast, the next few weeks have Vienna and Basel ATP 500 events, then Paris Masters 1000, a couple 250's and then ATP Finals! On the WTA Tour, the Finals in Cancun are fast approaching and we are excited to see how that plays out!

In this week's episode, Cole, Freddy and Keith finish up coverage of the Shanghai Masters event where Hubert Hurkacz takes home his second Masters 1000 title! (A feat only a few can say they have accomplished) The debate about the 1 week format vs. the 12 day format for Masters Tournaments was had, as well as some fun banter surrounding the pranks Grigor played this week and how Hubert Hurkacz makes his way off Cole's concerned list!

The WTA also had some action with Leylah Fernandez winning her first title in nearly 2 years, Jess Pegula winning her second title of the year in Korea, and Qinwen Zheng winning a title in her home country!

The topic of "team tennis" continues to pop up as the Laver Cup concludes and I guess the Davis Cup too? Who knows, but regardless, these type of events need a revamp and Keith provides his solution. Friend of the pod, Caroline Dolehide, has a massive week for herself making the finals of the WTA 1000 in Guadalajara, losing a great battle to Maria Sakkari! Caroline also made the semifinals in doubles and is up to a career high 42 in the world for singles! Huge for the NML fam!

This week on NML Interviews, we sit down with John Dunigan who is a Top 50 PGA Golf Professional. John talks about his unique journey from playing college tennis at UC Irvine to teaching golf at the highest level! John breaks down some of the similarities between golf and tennis on both the playing and coaching side of things!

In the latest episode of NML Interviews, Cole and Keith had the pleasure of speaking with Omni Kumar following his big week in Winston-Salem! Omni is only 21 years old, made is ATP Tour debut in Los Cabos, made the round of 16 in Winston-Salem and has now cracked inside the top 350 in the world rankings! Look for him and his unique backhand to fly up the ranks in the near future!

The past week was an eventful one! Although the week leading up to the US Open is usually a bit of a dud, there was some decent tennis! Baez took out Lehecka to win the Winston-Salem Open and Sorribes Tormo outlasted Alexandrova to win the title in Cleveland! The most exciting thing to happen in the week leading up to the final slam of the year was our very own Keith Gorman put a ring on it! Tune in to hear about how the wedding went, some US Open predictions and also some favorite moments of past in Flushing Meadows!

The Masters 1000 in Cincinnati has come to an end and what a fun week it was! Alcaraz and Djokovic provided the tennis world with the best match of 2023. Bar none. This 3 hour 49 minute match was pure cinema from start to finish. This match had it all: borderline heat stroke, medical timeouts, uncharacteristic double faults, phenomenal shotmaking, match points saved, and an epic shirt rip. Vintage Novak. On the women's side, Coco Gauff continues her hot streak on the North American hard courts. She followed up her WTA 500 win in DC with a quarterfinal masters run in Montreal, and then winning her first WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati! Lastly, NML discusses whether the WTA just forgot to schedule the WTA Finals in their last board meeting or they are just holding off telling everyone for months on end. Where the hell will it be? Who knows!

The beautiful country of Canada provided an excellent week of tennis in Montreal and Toronto this past week! Jessica Pegula wins her first title of the year, and its a big one! Sinner captures his first (hopefully of many) Master's 1000 titles! The guys also talk about an absurd take that is going around about 71% of amateur players think they could win a game off a pro player. Not a chance. Cole may think differently though...listen to find out! Lastly, Cincinnati is this week and should be a great tournament! Both sides have the top 16 players in the world playing! Loaded field! Enjoy some skyline chili and a rollercoaster ride this week!

What a fun week of tennis! The Mubadala Citi Open in Washington DC was an absolute hit! Both Fred and Keith were able to attend and have plenty to share from the on site experience to catching up with old friends and Tiafoe's! Coco Gauff takes home her first 500 event and first title on American soil! Dan Evans was able secure the biggest title of his career and move into 21st on the rankings list, a career high for the Brit! Evans was on a 7 match tour-level losing streak prior to lifting the trophy this week! What a sport, man. In Los Cabos, Alex de Minaur keeps his unbeaten streak in Mexico alive before falling to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final! Great match and great reaction from Stef winning this 250 title! This upcoming week, the men head to Toronto and the women are in Montreal for 1000 events! Should be a fun week north of the border!

Last week on tour, Keith's 'getting the bump' pick Alexei Popyrin takes home the title in Umag, Iga wins in Warsaw, Zverev wins in Hamburg, Fritz wins Atlanta! The topic of 'Getting the bump' leads the conversation towards the question: Why do we root for certain players? The debate is great and lots of fun to hear different opinions! The ATP/WTA 500 event in DC takes place this week! Fred will be on the grounds majority of the week and Keith will make an appearance for the finals!

In this week's interview we are joined by Andy Katz, College Basketball analyst for the NCAA, Turner Network, BigTen Network and NBATV. Andy has a background in tennis from his childhood days and continues to play and watch the sport! Most recently, he was in Newport, RI covering for Tennis One at the Tennis Hall of Fame for the ATP 250 event! In this episode, Freddy, Keith and Andy talk about how Andy found his love for tennis, the ins and outs of the Hall of Fame venue, and which ATP Players Andy is picking to be in his starting five on the basketball court!

As we like to name the most random week in tennis, this post Wimbledon lull is 'Week of the Staads'. The rundown of last weeks action includes Gstaad, Bstaad, Newport, Palermo and Budapest. Rublev and Cachin take home titles in Bstaad and Gstaad on the clay! (Why is there still clay?) In Newport, RI, Adrian Mannarino wins the title on the final grass event of the year defeating 18 year old American, Alex Michelson. On the WTA, Palermo saw Zheng winning her maiden title! In Budapest, the main headline featured a young Hungarian who showed the most disrespect on a tennis court we have seen in a while. Many WTA players took the Twitter to show support of Zhang Shuai and ridicule Toth. Keith had a little run at his district tournament, but the highlight of Keith's weekend was his outfit! Lastly, the guys make a few predictions has we head into the stretch of North American hard court tournaments!

The grass court season has officially (sort of - Newport) ended and we have our Wimbledon Champions! Carlos Alcaraz has done it. He takes out Novak Djokovic in a thrilling 5 set match that will be remembered for a long time. On the women's side, Vondrousova wins over Jabeur in straight sets to break into the Top 10 and win her first Slam! The guys talk about each final and what this means for both players and the sport moving forward! Also, the importance of Wimbledon within the sports world and how it is held in such high regard within the tennis world as well.

This edition of NML Interviews, the team gets to chat with social media content creator, Eliza Wastcoat! She brings a knowledge and love of the game to the podcast this week! Her social media channels have been growing and she has been featured on Tennis Channel and other outlets during this years tour season! The second week of Wimbledon is here! This tournament has provided a lot of drama so far, but also has left us with many of the top seeds advancing to the final 8! Andy Murray provided some thrilling matches, the rain gave American viewers more tennis later in the day, and the roof could't decide if it should stay open or closed for the first few days! Now that the final 8 in both draws are set, it is going to be an exciting final week at Wimbledon! The guy's talk about their bracket picks with Keith leading the way and Freddy in dead last...not by much though! Chris Eubanks has been the story of the tournament! This week we recap what finished up in Mallorca, Bad Homburg and Eastbourne before Wimbledon begins! Chris Eubanks wins his maiden title in Mallorca, Siniakova takes the title in Bad Homburg, Madison Keys and Fransisco Cerundolo win in Eastbourne to round out the final week in the lead up to the strawberries and cream! The draw is set, lucky losers are placed, it's time to pick-em'! We go through our picks in both the (gentle)men's and (ladies) women's draws. This fortnight, there will be a few things on the line for the NML guys as they compete to see whose picks will take them the farthest! Upcoming tournaments for both tours are in Eastbourne, Bad Homburg and Mallorca. We are closing in on Wimbledon with qualifying matches happening this week! Exciting time for tennis!

The time has come, the beauty of the grass is now on full display across Europe as we settle into the next few weeks leading into Wimbledon. This week, the guys talk about Tiafoe's title and Top Ten debut, hometown heroes Tallon Griekspoor and Katie Boulter win titles in Holland and the UK! The guys also dive into a little talk about the grass and how things have evolved over the years, leading to some changing game styles and leaving the fan yearning for some old school S and V!

With the clay court season coming to an end, they guys take a look back over the last several weeks and discuss how the clay season shaped up! At the start of the clay season, the talk was about the Big 3 on the women's side and then a lot more parity on the men's side with no Nadal throughout the swing, Novak being hampered by an injury throughout the clay season and Alcaraz looking like the best player in the world. This year's clay season really did deliver between the lines, but for the viewer, it was a bit tough to follow. Wimbledon is right around the corner. As the grass court season gets under way, we prepare for a fun few weeks on some perfectly manicured grass!

This week Keith and Cole cover what has happened over the course of week 1 on the clay at Roland Garros. Have these crowds been the worst of any major event we've seen? A strange doubles disqualification was a hot topic as well!
