She is currently finishing her Doctorate in Human Services specializing in Organizational Management and Leadership from Capella University. She received Recovery Coach training from CCAR and has been part of training teams who have trained over 50 South Carolinians to become Certified Peer Support Specialists. Ms. Criss has her national certification in Peer Support from NAADAC (NCPRSS) and her state certification from APSC (CPSS). She worked in healthcare administration for two decades prior to moving to South Carolina and joining the FAVOR Grand Strand team.

Tina is a native Californian with three grown children who are 32, 26, and 25. Tina is a senior at USC Beaufort, working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. She is a transfer student from Greenville Technical College and her return to college is a lost dream restored once she stopped using drugs.
She has a passion for helping those affected by substance use disorder, mental illness, and homelessness to name a few. After completing an internship at FAVOR, she became a volunteer, then a recovery coach, and is an ambassador for FAVOR’s Hope and Healing Tour.
Tina has joined the staff at FAVOR as FAVOR expands its outreach. She began her recovery in 2006.
