When we accept the salvation call of Jesus, it’s not just about guaranteeing our place in a heavenly realm, but it’s really about the here and now and the dismissing of the rulership of satan and the demonic and accepting the rule and reign of Christ over our lives from the moment we say yes to Him.

A Tale of Two Towers
The character of God is a tower of strength, for the lovers of God delight to run into his heart and be exalted on high. The rich, in their conceit, imagine that their wealth is enough to protect them. It becomes their confidence in a day of trouble. (Proverbs 18:10-11)

What kind of 'garden' are we cultivating in our minds? Is it blooming and bearing fruit, or is it overcome with weeds and brambles? The mind is a battlefield for good and evil. Loving Others
If we take the time to study His Word, to pray, to learn about who He is, and to worship Him, we would begin to experience His love and love Him in return. We Are The Church (Community)
Part #3 of our recent teaching series by Mark Kelly. This week, Mark challenged us with this statement: Our faith must be based on a personal relationship with Jesus, but we can’t do it alone; we must pursue genuine community with other believers. Rather than attending church on a come-and-go basis, we should strive to be connected to an authentic, Godly community.

"Do Not Judge Others." (The Bible Doesn't Say That!) - Actually, it does! However, in the Bible Jesus didn't just say, “Do not judge others" followed by a full stop or an exclamation point. He said, “Do not judge others,” followed by a clarification of what type of judgments to make, when to make them, and how to make them.

Three Mighty Men - Audio
The pages of the Old Testament contain some of the most amazing stories you’ll ever read. Many of these stories revolve around a young shepherd boy who grew up to become King David. David was the greatest king Israel would ever know, but he didn’t become great all on his own. He depended on God, but we're also told he relied on at least thirty special soldiers for much of his military might. And within that 30 were three men, the Bible tells us, that performed some awesome feats!

From God's point of view, our purpose in life is very simple. Just like a grape vine, the main purpose of our lives is to produce fruit. Give Me Strength! - Audio
If we recognise that Jesus is with us in the storm or ready to meet us in the storm ahead, we simply need to ask Him for guidance and help. It seems in the story of Peter walking on the water (Matthew 14:22-36) we see that Peter wanted more than anything to be close to Jesus. So he asked Jesus if he could walk on the water. He moved from being a passive observer of the supernatural, to being an active participant!

Cultivating a Prophetic Lifestyle - Audio
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:1 (NLT): "Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives - especially the ability to prophesy." The NIV translation puts it like this: "Eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit, especially prophesy." When God tells us to desire specific gifts, it's because He wants to give us them! Not because we've earned them or deserve them, but because He is our Good Father, who loves to give gifts to His children.

First Things First - Audio
We all set priorities and this is where each one of us is challenged the most. If our priorities are not in order, then our lives will not be in order. If our priorities are not right, we won't be right. We don't have to pray about what our number one priority in life ought to be. We shouldn't really have to think about it. We don't have to discuss it. We don't have to do some soul searching for it. We don't have to go on a pilgrimage to find it. We just have to do it, because Jesus has already told us what our first priority ought to be, "Seek the Kingdom of God above ALL else."

Restore #6: Called, not Employed - Audio
Too often Christians compartmentalise their lives into the sacred and the secular. Work often falls into the latter. Vocation is often disconnected from kingdom activity. At the best, it provides the financial necessary to support the church. At worst, it is a necessary evil that keeps people away from doing “real” ministry. But God’s radical call is not to retreat from culture, but to be present in every channel of culture (education, government, media, arts and entertainment, business, social sector).

Restore #4: Moving Beyond Offended - Audio
Christians are often viewed as people who are easily offended. They are offended by the language people use, their lifestyles choices, and the values they proclaim. In response, those who do not follow Jesus have often defined themselves by what they are not offended by. The result is a world divided into the offended and the not offended. But the gospel is not about being offended.
