Week 4 - A Celebrity Proposal, New and Improved Fringe Clubs & Racist Reviews
It's been another HUGE week at The Fringe! 🌈 Between a secret celebrity opening night proposal, COVID traces found in our wastewater (ahh!!) and racist reviews rocking performers and their supporters - the fourth week of Fringe has been full of up's and down's. I got myself a COVID-19 test (all clear!) and stayed away from shows for a few days to instead bring you a jam-packed educational episode that will hopefully get you up to speed with news you won't find on your Facebook feed. Make sure you check out the links in the show notes below, especially as we relay Victoria Falconer's story 💖

We're back! Well... kind of. It's been a year since the Fringe and it just didn't feel right to leave Season One without a proper ending. I know we don't normally get closure, but it just felt so wrong NOT finishing off from where we left things before COVID-19 hit with the FRINGE BENEFITS Podcast (and giving you a bit of a recap of what's been going on in the last year as a whole!).

EXTRA FRILLS: Emilie's Top Podcast Recommendations!
It's Mini-sode time, baby! ⚡️ With COVID-19 changing life as we know it, our final episode of FRINGE BENEFITS has been pushed out a little bit (we're all about responsible social distancing in this household). But no fear, while you're safe at home, Emilie (our esteemed guest from episode two), brings you her very favourite podcast recommendations to keep you content-hungry kids well fed.
Support these amazing creators by listening to their podcasts and following them on social media - links below.

Podcasts that Emilie recommends:
- Shameless (Pop Culture) Hosted by two Melbourne journalists. The pop culture podcast for smart women who love dumb stuff.
- Bobo and Flex (Pop Culture) Deep dives into deep shit. Bobo and Flex are on a quest to decolonize minds, intersect feminism, and most importantly, give all the tools necessary to stay away from problematic boys.
- Comments By Celebs (Pop Culture) Even famous people love famous people. Using the unique angle of their Instagram account to frame the conversation, they delve into what's going on in the world of celeb comments, and how that translates into real-life drama.
- The Morning Toast (Pop Culture) The fast five stories you NEED to know every morning! Take a bite out of The Morning Toast.
- Beauty IQ Uncensored (Beauty) Made by Adore beauty (and it's Emilie's go-to cry-laughing podcast). No topic is off-limits - from retinol to bum hair - and you can expect a healthy dose of education and laughs.
- Last Podcast On The Left (True Crime) Emma loves them! (and I mean... LOVES them). Check out her picture with the boys when they came to Adelaide, here.
- My Favourite Murder (True Crime) Lifelong fans of true crime stories Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark tell each other their favorite tales of murder and hear hometown crime stories from friends and fans.
- Casefile (True Crime) Because fact is scarier than fiction.
- The Catch and Kill Podcast with Ronan Farrow (Storytelling Series) Exposed Harvey Weinstein - love ya work darl! Pulitzer deseeerved!
Things we mention:
- Hamish and Andy
- Jenny from Rhetoric PR (Emma's first real boss!)
