From The Maker To The Made EP.22 Famous Dave Flynn
From the maker to the made is a podcast about creativity, artistry, Process and flow. Each week host Barry power speaks to artists and creatives to get their own personal and unique perspectives on their work process and lifestyle in the modern digital age.
This week is episode no 22. Famous Dave Flynn. Dave and I go back a long way, we have been in bands together for years and he was kind enough to come on and drop some pearls of wisdom from his long and varied musical career.
Dave is what I like to think of as a musical chameleon. Instrumentally he plays Guitar, Bass, he is a singer and choirmaster, ninja session player. And he knows about a million songs he is a human jukebox and I mean that in a good way. If you ever find yourself in Sligo town and find Dave playing a gig I’ll bet you could go up to him ask for the most obscure of songs and he would probably give you a great rendition.
but I think what really stands out for me is his vast musical knowledge and his willingness to share that knowledge in a generous an authentic way. It really speaks to his passion and vocation to music and being a musician in general. Website | Youtube |

From the Maker to the made
This is a discussion podcast with artists and creatives about how they approach their personal process and visions for their work. In particular, it aims to explore some of the stumbling blocks, resistance and hurdles an artist's faces in their journey from the inspiration right through to the finished work, and why it is that so many creatives have that dreaded fear of even getting started.
In addition, I hope to learn from how these artists apply their creative thinking to adapt to life in the modern creative space. What they feel are the barriers from getting their work seen, heard, read, enjoyed and appreciated. And how they individually embrace or deny the idea of the Creative Entrepreneur.
