#103 - False Friends, False Prophets
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they continue the discussion of the prophetic and it's desperate need to be fueled by friendship with God. If we are to receive prophecy or give prophecy correctly it has to come from the burning heart of Yahweh. In this episode, you will hear a little-known portion about Lucifer in Ezekiel 28 and how it relates to trafficking in the spirit. Yes, the ultimate manifestation was Lucifer's pride, but also he was in trouble for desecrating the holy place by his trafficking. Lucifer traveled into places in the spirit realm that was outside of his permission. Can we make that same mistake? #070 - God Pursuing Us
“You called, you cried, you shattered my deafness. You sparkled, you blazed, you drove away my blindness. You shed your fragrance, and I drew in my breath, and I pant for you. I tasted and now I hunger and thirst. You touched me, and now I burn with longing for your peace.” Saint Augustine “When the soul is full, you turn down even the sweetest honey. But when your soul is starving, every bitter thing becomes sweet.” Proverbs 27:7 TPT “BLESSED are those who HUNGER and THIRST for RIGHTEOUSNESS for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 NKJV JESUS MAKES THIS DECLARATION FROM A PLACE HE KNOWS BETTER THAN ANYONE: “BLESSED are those who HUNGER and THIRST for RIGHTEOUSNESS for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 NKJV “How long can the moth flirt near the mouth of the flame before their lips touch and the moth’s soul becomes like a sun.... How long do you think you can just flirt with Him before you dissolve in ecstasy?” Meister Eckhart "To hunger and thirst after righteousness is when nothing in the world can fascinate us so much as being near to God." - Smith Wigglesworth The Feeling is Mutual: Jesus knows this place of extreme bliss as a result of his desire for the Bride and this desire should awaken desire for Him in you. We only pursue God to the degree that its real to us that He is pursuing us. When you hear things like, “Seek my Face continually...” (Ps. 105:4), “Men should always pray and never stop...” (Lk 18:1), “Pray in the Spirit always...” (Eph. 6:18), and “Pray without ceasing...” (1 Thess. 5:17), do you hear a call to discipline or do you hear the voice of someone longing for unbroken communion with you? In these verses I hear the heart of someone saying, “I could talk to you all day long. I don’t want the communion to stop. You’ll hang up first.” You might want to reread these verses with the understanding that "The Spirit that lives in us wants us to be his own" (James 4:5 God’s Word Translation). I know that we talk much about our longing and hunger for the Lord but have you considered the Spirit’s longing for us? Our communion with the Spirit is the result of mutual longing. William Seymour was desperate for the fullness of the Holy Spirit. He had such a hunger for more that he gave himself earnestly to the secret place five hours a day for two years. He wasn't satisfied. Seymour asked God, "What else can I do?" The Spirit spoke to him and said, "Pray More." Seymour then changed his five hours a day to now seven hours a day. He continued in secret prayer seven hours a day for another year and a half. The result was a glorification of the Spirit, not just in Seymour, but one that would have a historic impact called the Azusa Street Revival. John G. Lake said of Seymour’s hunger, “God had put such a hunger into that man’s heart that when the fire of God came it glorified him. I do not believe any other man in modern times had a more wonderful deluge of God in his life than God gave to that dear fellow, and the glory and power of a real Pentecost swept the world. He [Seymour] preached to my congregation of ten thousand people when the glory and power of God was upon his spirit, and men shook and trembled and cried to God. God was in him.” “Seymour, I want you to pray more.” The Spirit is longing for an unbroken communion with this man! What an honor and permission! Paul’s release of hunger. 12Not that I have already attained...I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me [fullness of Paul’s destiny]...14I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call [fullness of Paul’s destiny] of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3:12-14) As we hunger and thirst, we will embrace whatever it takes to experience more of God. As Bill Johnson prayed, “More of You at any cost.” We are pursuing a Person who releases righteousness in us and through us. Jesus is worthy of our efforts to press into God. “Hunger is one of the most important signs of(continued)

#069 - Divine Communication Vs. Man's Communication
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they discuss the difference between divine communication and men's. It's very easy to become enslaved to your own or someone else's vision and hinder your ability to hear and obey. Hear and obey is the path to our most glorious state. But many are in the captivity of men's ideas calling it God's vision. We hope some will find permission in this.

#068 - Relational Holiness
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they discuss "Relational Holiness." Matt had a conversation with Dutch Sheets about consecration that sparked this episode on the podcast. Discover that the journey into the devout and holy life is one of “relational holiness” as we seek not to just “separate from things” but rather separate unto the Lord. Your “Yes vow” to Jesus will be more powerful than a 1,000 “No vows” to sin and darkness. Matt and Dutch’s conversation: “Me: Sir, I feel like one of the biggest areas of compromise in my life has been my speech. The tongue has proven to be an unruly member. Papa Dutch: Really? Me: Yes Sir. I suppose I need to be more disciplined. Perhaps I should do a word-fast and just be quiet for a week until I'm more aware of my words. Papa Dutch: Yeah, you could do that. Or, you could linger in His Presence until one the Seraphim fly to you with one of the burning coals from the altar and apply it to your lips. And be done with it. Me: Yes Sir. I'll take the second option.” Dutch Sheets has a tremendous teaching on consecration that he shared here at Hope Chapel in South Carolina. This teaching was revolutionary for many in our company. Here is in an excerpt from a blog that Dutch wrote entitled, “Invitation to Consecration” that highlights what he shared here: "We hear of the concept of "consecration" periodically, but we often have a vague understanding of what it really means. The word consecrate, in Hebrew, is actually a relational term. Qadash means to separate or set yourself apart unto God. God’s heart isn’t, “Clean up your act so I can restore and bless you.” He says instead, “Come to me so I can bless you.” BIG DIFFERENCE! His love is free, not earned. It may even surprise you that qadash (set apart to Him), is actually the root word for holy (qodesh). Not to confuse you with a bunch of strange words, but isn’t it great to know that being “holy” isn’t the result of or defined as “being good enough?” Rather it is the nature (qodesh) we receive from our union with Him (qadash), which motivates us to good works and a refusal to sin. We must be careful, then, that when we set out to prepare ourselves for a move of God’s Spirit, we do not move into a legalistic works mentality, trying to accomplish separation and holiness in our own abilities; rather, we draw near to God in relationship. There is another word in scripture that also means separation, which we often confuse with consecration and holiness. Nazir, from which we get the word Nazarite, means to be separate from. Nazir implies that we are separating ourselves away from something, as in sin, or the Nazarite vow of separation from certain activities. Qadash implies that we are separating ourselves unto, or drawing near to God. And this is where we must always start in our walk with Him." - Dutch Sheets (blog excerpt "Invitation to Consecration") https://dutchsheets.org/index.php/2015/10/21/an-invitation-to-consecration/ Mike Bickle also highlights 3 principles to cooperating with the grace of God in pursuit of consecration with a similar approach using Romans 6:11-13: (1) Know (2) Resist (3) Pursue. “11 Likewise you also, reckon (Know) yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body (Resist), that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead (Pursue), and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.” (Romans 6:11-13) 1) Know who you are in Christ. 2) Resist darkness. 3) Pursue loving God and people. As we seek to be those who “separate unto the Lord,” we can be confident in our pursuit that we’ve found the more excellent way as we receive from Holy Presence and are transformed into the same image. “16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the ve(continued)

#067 - 5 Paths Into Wonder
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they discuss "5 Paths Into Wonder." These are not the only 5, however, these are keys that can help fuel your pursuit in devotional wonder. We are learning that this podcast is for the handful saying yes to un-compromised devotion to Jesus. Keep the flame! Podcast Notes: "Five Paths into Wonder" 1. Read aloud the biblical narratives of God’s throne (Revelation 4; Isaiah 6; Ezekiel 1). Reading the bible aloud helps to focus your mind and heart on the passage. Meditating on the Word means, “to chew” on the word, it needs to be in your mouth. It also makes it easier to begin to pray-read the passage (stopping at key points to pray the scriptures, ask the Lord questions, and declare praises to Jesus for who He is). Ask the Lord, “What did Ezekiel see? What did Isaiah see? What did John see?” 2. Ask to encounter the fear of the Lord. Here are some starters: Father, put Your fear in my heart so that I will not depart from You (Jer. 32:40). Father, unite my heart to fear Your name (Ps. 86:11). Jesus, like you I want to delight in the fear of the LORD (Isa. 11:3). “Father, release the spirit of the fear of God into my heart. Release the lightning and thunder from Your throne to strike my heart (Rev. 4:5) with Your majesty, that I might live in awe before You. Release Your presence and holy dread that makes me tremble before You. Unite my heart to your heart and Word and cause me to delight in the fear of God.” Mike Bickle 3. Meditate on God’s Majesty in His creation. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world (Psalms 19:1-4). For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse… (Romans 1:20). 4. “Come to be” in the Spirit by praying in the Spirit at all times (Eph. 6:18). Praying in the Spirit is also prayer in-step with the Spirit (prayer in-line with the Spirit). I would even say that prayer in the Spirit is a way to pray “into the Spirit” realm. Try to spend an hour a day praying in the Spirit. 5. Keep a place of solitude with God. John was on an island, a place of solitude for the word of God. Having a secret place with God alone positions us to receive the Father’s open reward.

Prayer Instrumental - Go For It (Selah)
Matt and Mark believe that this podcast is helping to fuel the devotional flame. Here is a great instrumental that was recorded during a powerful altar time at Camp Ascend following Apostle's message "Go For It." We are so thankful for Tyler England's sensitivity to the Spirit and ability to help usher in this moment. This is a great clip for your next time of intimacy with Jesus. Enjoy!

GO FOR IT - Apostle Damon Thompson
We are so excited to share with you a message from Camp Ascend. We had over 300 campers from 15 different states that gathered for this special week of camp. But on this particular night our Apostle, Damon Thompson, was able to share a powerful message that we felt needed to be shared with you. Enjoy!

#062 - Writing HIStory
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they discuss "Writing HIStory." In this episode Mark shares an experience he had with the Lord and how the Holy Spirit wants to use us as pens to write history together. If the Holy Spirit is the holder, and we are the pen, then our obedience is the ink to writing history with God. Many of us have learned how to host His Presence by answering the call of devotion. Now we must learn how to broker His power to leverage the Kingdom of God into the culture. If you would like to support the podcast go to www.circuitridersrising.com/give

#060 - 4 Ways To Carry An Unquenchable Flame
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they discuss "4 Ways To Carry An Unquenchable Flame." Lev. 6:12-13 says, "the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: & the priest shall burn WOOD on it EVERY MORNING, & lay the burnt offering in ORDER upon it; and he shall burn thereon the FAT OF THE PEACE offerings. 13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall NEVER go out." 1) THE PROCESS: STEWARDSHIP. This fire was not man made. It came from the Presence of the Lord. We don't have to start a fire. Our role is stewardship of the flame the Spirit starts. People who remain burning focus on stewarding what the Spirit has already given rather than starting man made fire. 2) THE PACE: STEADY SLOW BURN. The fire doesn't have to be bigger it just has to be continually burning. People who remain burning focus on the slow burn of moment by moment communion with Jesus rather than making it bigger. 3) THE FUEL: SACRIFICE, ORDER, AND PEACE. This fire is fueled by wood, a sacrifice placed in order, & the fat of the peace offering. People who remain burning carry the sacrificial WOOD of their own cross, they set the living sacrifice of their lives in ORDER & they get fat on PEACE. If the fire is going out it's because war and striving have been our diet instead of filling our hearts with the promise of SHALOM. 4) THE DURATION: NEVER ENDING. The flame is eternal. It is never to go out. The fiery love of Jesus toward us never goes out. We seek to return a never ending love. Those who remain burning do so because they've discovered a lifestyle of burning love for Jesus and they never need the script to change. It's forever. All the days of our lives.

#039 - The Early Church Community (Acts 2:42-47)
Join Matt and Mark on the Front Porch as they talk about the early church community in Acts 2:42-47. We believe that the church is in the beginning stages of a new reformation. This reformation will cause the Americanized church to return to it's original intent. There are 17 current church growth models influencing the church today. Not one of them is based upon the book of Acts, but are business franchising models. When we look to the book of Acts we don't see churches built off of business principles but rather encounters with the Lord. Let's return to the Acts model.

Sermon - When Provocation Turns To Hunger
Bobby Lemley shares a message at our regional gathering in Aberdeen, MD from 1st Samuel about Hannah giving birth to what was going to replace the system. Have you ever felt like you have favor and a double portion on your life but you haven’t produced anything yet? Does it seem like you are being provoked by people or things that seem to be producing while you haven’t seen the fruit of your own? Hannah had to make a choice, she chose to let the provocation take her deeper into intimacy with the Lord and birth something that would last through eternity. Let this message turn your heart to a deeper degree of devotion. Let the provocation turn you to hunger, even when you don’t seem to be producing what you know is your hearts desire.

#020 - Burning Ones
Join Matt Pettry and Mark Casto on the front porch as they talk about the fellowship of the burning hearts. There are so many different ways the "church" is being built today. But the early church was birthed from "burning ones." The church of the Bible was built upon men and women who had encounters wth God. That's what is happening among our company here in South Carolina. We live among a people that will provoke you to go deep. This is the best way to go deep, go together!

#019 - The Gift of Understanding
Join Matt Pettry and Mark Casto on the front porch as they discuss "The Gift Of Understanding." While everyone is being commissioned to run the rat race of ministry, God is calling His lovers to rest in His Presence. In March of 2015, Mark heard a whisper, "The spirit of 1776 is upon this generation, and if you continue this pace you will miss the new thing that I'm doing." Many don't understand the pace we have taken, but it requires understanding. It is hard to lead someone running like a horse, when Yahweh wants to lead you with His eyes. (Ps 32:8-9) Come face-to-face with Jesus and receive the gift of understanding.

#017 - Corporate Ascension
Join Matt Pettry and Mark Casto on the front porch as they discuss "Corporate Ascension." How many prayer meetings have you been in where the sole focus was ministering to the Lord? There is a place in corporate prayer where we can go from glory to glory without defaulting to make-up time in devotion, releasing decrees, or warring against the enemy. All of these inferior prayer pursuits are evidence we are not winning in the place of devotion. God is raising up burning ones who bring their devotion into the corporate expression releasing a sound that can cause corporate ascension. This is not hype, it's oil that has been cultivated in secret being added to the lampstand of the corporate!

#014 - Be The Sound
Join Matt Pettry and Mark Casto on the front porch as they go deeper into the 3 Phases of Reformation. But before they get into the discussion Mark will share some emails from our listeners who have offered us encouragement. Also, hear the vision behind a brand new segment of this podcast called "Cloud 9". Mark begins this podcast speaking about John the Baptist and his radical decision to leave the system of religion that could have offered him great success to answer the call to be a voice in the wilderness. As long as you remain in the system you will have to let go of your voice of authenticity to blend in with the voice who established these systems. Don't spend your life being an echo of other men rather release the authentic sound that God has given you! It's time for the sons and daughters to prophesy. #013 - Singing Through Formlessness
We are on the front porch again with Matt Pettry and Mark Casto as they review the 3 Phases of Reformation. This message is near and dear to our Apostle, Damon Thompson, and we are sharing how the Lord has dealt with us in formlessness. Phase 2 of formlessness may be the most difficult because it requires titles and false identities to be shed. This is where personal reformation begins. You will hear stories, revelation, and receive instruction that will encourage you to go deeper still into this devotional lifestyle. *This podcast is listener supported. #012 - Do Not Shut It Off
Join Bobby Lemley and Mark Casto on the front porch as they discuss encounters in devotion. Many well meaning heroes of the faith have said you will only have one to two real visions in your entire life. They might be true concerning ministry but in this place of devotion don't be afraid when you can't shut it off. We want to encourage you not to shut it off. Keep moving forward and answer this call to be close. Visions are not something just for ministry and not all are meant to be shared. But they should all be invitations to come closer to the Lord. We are on the front porch again with Matt Pettry and Mark Casto as they share from their personal stories of transition. Fathers were placed into our lives who helped us leave systems that were hindering our ultimate intention of God's purpose for our lives. Hunger for more of Jesus led us to where God has us today. Something revolutionary is taking place. Come join the conversation.
