Here is the homily I gave for the 2nd Sunday of Lent. This is second in the series, "Lord, I Surrender." So often we try to do things ourselves and only turn to God when there are problems. All Catholics need to get better at listening and spending time in prayer. A true disciple rids all obstacles in his or her life that prevent him or her from hearing God's voice.

Here is the homily I gave for the First Sunday of Lent. This is the first in the series, "Lord, I Surrender." As we enter the season of Lent, our lives should be very different than the rest of the people in the world. We should enter the desert and totally surrender ourselves to the Lord. When we are able to "give up" the things that keep us from God, then we are able to hear His Voice.

Here is the homily I gave for the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time. This is the fourth in the series, "Everyone is Searching." At the Mass with children today, I emphasized the need we have to stay focused on the message of Jesus and not allow ourselves to be distracted by things that fascinate us. Jesus wants us focused on the message of repentance and the Kingdom.

We must always remember the journey is the destiny and the destiny informs the journey. Check to see what path you are on to find out where you will end up at the end of the Journey. And if you are on the wrong path, change now so as to ensure your final destiny is with Christ.
