They say history doesn't repeat itself...well, maybe it gets turned up a notch
Howdy!  I've got some passion flowing in this one folks- let's call it a structured rant! Today some of our countries brightest and bravest physicians were hosted by Senator Johnson for a discussion on U.S. COVID-19 response, and much of what I was writing about in my 2013 book, Whole Pharmacy, in Chapter 4, pg. 33 The Extension of Sick Care- is the same crap that is going on today...but worse. Why worse? More lives are paying the ultimate price- their health and their freedom. Autoimmune Disease, Self Love, and a truly Wholistic Approach
Hey Folks! For both patients and practitioners, autoimmune disease is the real deal. From Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, hashimotos, and the rest, it seems we keep seeing and hearing more and more.   From a functional point of view, we always look at the foundational elements; diet, gut heath, adrenals, hormonal balance, stress management, nutritional relevancy, nutraceutical supplementation and more. COVID Long Hauler is Not Just About COVID
COVID Long Hauler can present with issues of the heart, breathing, neurological, and more. Truly debilitating for some. While it’s clear that people with certain risk factors (including high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, obesity and other conditions) are more likely to have a serious bout of COVID-19, there isn’t a clear link between these risk factors and long-term problems. In fact, long COVID can happen in people who have mild symptoms. More studies will shed light on why these stubborn health problems persist in some people. They could be due to organ damage, a persistent inflammatory or autoimmune response or another reason. Now that I am teaching continuing education classes to hundreds o pharmacists at a time...I have been getting a lot of the same question..."how did you get where you are? what classes or certifications should I take?" etc etc And these are all excellent questions...and there is no one right answer. A lot of this is because I believe we have to get our hands dirty and get into the field to learn, That is what my journey has been- woven with certifications, teachings and mentoring. Where ever you may be in your career, sit back, grab a drink (tea is fine too)- and see if there are any symbiotic undertones to your path- or - maybe find some insight to what lies ahead for you.
