E:13 A check up from the Neck Up!

More bogus shit from the Captain? not quite. Listen as I go through the process of getting back on medication after nearly 20yrs of disdain. You will be regaled with stories exposing the raw observations of medication misuse, attacking head meds with an open mind. I will illustrate my experience with the side effects and the impact on my work. You can listen for suggested approaches to exploring medication as an optional treatment.
*this podcast is for entertainment purposes only. I am not a doctor, I am barely a professional. if you are in need of help please skip to the last five minutes of this episode where you can find some options for tried and true professional assistance out there. Please enjoy this for what it is, a candid monologue of a man trying to repair himself and make sense of the past in order to appreciate the future!

E12 Headication, part 1

E12 Headication, part 1

Getting into the endless corners and trapdoors of mental health medication, including sedatives, SSRI's, stimulants and anticonvulsants....if you or someone you know is interested in exploring medication but is uncertain, why not have a listen to someone who is still a bit uncertain. I speak openly about the effects and side-effects (positive and negative), reasons I gave up, as well as reasons I decided to give it another try with honest effort. I also talk about getting high at work, not listening, interrupting people, misinterpreting social cues, being a maniac, being productive, being a better partner, and forgetting what I was talking about.

This episode is broken up into two parts and will be a recurring topic of discussion. **there is candid talk about drugs that may be ignorant at best or triggering at worst. Please be advised that this is NOT a professional advice column, medical journal, or should be taken as guidance. If you are considering medical intervention for a mental disorder please do not consult with a Chef/Drummer/Podcaster; talk to a doctor or counselor for guidance and help. This show is anything but that....enjoy**

Americalm-the-fuck-down

Americalm-the-fuck-down

Look, I know that I may not have a dog in this political race, so to speak. I don't want this to become something other than a platform about mental illness....But it is clear that the USA is suffering....so here comes my big mouth.
:PLEASE: don NOT mistake what I say in this to condoning any rioting or criminal activity. I am NOT affiliated with any group, I don't even have a political party that I support. I have no agenda other than observing people and trying to make sense of it.....
The news media has indeed fucked itself. Social platforms are a nightmare and a breeding ground to induce stress by wasting your time, insulting your intelligence, and moreover keeping you consuming and distracted.
I will do my best not to waste your time with this 10 minutes of my pondering people as individuals and the chaos of falling into a group.

Antifa can get fucked. No one is listening to you. Your message is lost in violence and destruction
The owners of BLM ought to give the brand back to the cause and absolve any further political pollution
Proud Boys need to go fuck themselves. You're a joke that went too far and has no E-break
Trump supporters should think for themselves. Maybe a Man Child that shits McDonald's into a gold toilet just doesn't have any empathy for the American with two jobs and a burden....?
Cancel Culture should not be renewed for a next season due to contradicting the constitution
Now enjoy the show

E:2 A Heaping Helping of Hospitality Industry

E:2 A Heaping Helping of Hospitality Industry

Want to hear me talk about my experiences in the Restaurant Industry in a very non specific, all over the place kind of way that loosely ties in with Mental Health in a round about way....?! Not really? Too bad, because that is what this episode is basically.
Also I give my two cents on the Tyson/Jones Jr. exhibition fight, for whatever it's worth.

Episode 1 Allow me to introduce myself

Get to know your host by listening to him babble about stints as an amateur stand-up comic, humble beginnings as a self-taught punk rock drummer and merely skim surface of a brutal career as a Chef; all the while, orbiting the topic of Mental Well-being and Psychosis. Indeed, discussing diagnoses and first impressions of medication.
