Matt Way discusses his journey in hockey. Matt now works full time for England Hockey as a coach developer and moved across from a teaching role as Head of Year at St John’s, Marlborough in January 2019.
Matt is a recent graduate of the ACP Programme and Matt is currently a Performance Centre Head Coach in the West of England and also assists the Bristol University Hockey Programme.

Danny Newcombe currently leads the (BSc) Sport, Coaching and PE degree.
He is a Senior Lecturer and teaches the coaching, practice to theory strand of the degree.
Within the hockey world Danny is the Assistant Coach to the Wales Men's Hockey Team and Assistant coach at Reading Hockey Club Ladies 1st team. Danny also works as a coach developer for Great Britain Hockey.
Finally Danny is one of the four authors of the book The Constraints-Led Approach: Principles for Sports Coaching and Practice. The book provides coaches with the theoretical knowledge required to implement constraints-led approaches in their work.
A discussion with Chris Duncan about his journey in hockey coaching. Chris is the current Assistant coach to the Scotland Womens squad, the head coach of the Scotland U16 Boys and Director of hockey at Edingburgh Academy.

Phil Bootland is a long time club volunteer who after years of supporting his club decided to also volunteer at England Hockey Events as a Hockey Maker. Phil was the operations manager for the recent Vitality Hockey World Cup held in England during the summer of 2018.

The Magic Academy is a really useful sports coaching website that offers Playing and coaching cards. The playing cards are 60 cards for coaches to stretch all players across various sports and they also have 132 coach cards to stretch other coaches
The Magic Academy also have an online coach sharing platform for coaches across a wide range of sports to share coaching problems and solutions.
