LEARN - Show Your Students How to Become Digital Citizens
SHOW LESS👨👩👧👦 This is specific to educators and families who are interested in learning about digital citizenship - as well as using G'Suite for Education tools (all are included in the curriculum). 🌎 English 💡 In the world of online learning, digital citizenship is more important than ever. Students need to learn how to guard their personal data, be wise consumers of information, and demonstrate high quality learning. What is a digital citizen? Google has created a curriculum called Applied Digital Skills which contains lessons and content for late elementary students to adult learners. The Applied Digital Skills content uses technology skills to teach users to be wise and gives them time to practice decision-making. https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... 🎙️ Karen Jackson Karen is a retired Instructional Technology Specialist with a Doctorate in Ed. Leadership. She is a Google Educator 1, 2, and Trainer certified and has recently become a Google Innovator, SWE17. She loves learning and joining others in their journey to learn. She thinks the most difficult challenge educators face is to convince students they are in charge of their learning. Teacher agency is a strong theme in her view of professional development as well as student voice in learning.

We are proposing a Google Hangout aimed at supporting educators to navigate the current global crisis caused by the COVID19 pandemic. Many of us are struggling with a feeling of overwhelm, stress, and an unfair burden being placed on us. So, we want to offer you the chance to have a chat with a bunch of educators, and ask those burning EdTech questions about how you can best support your students or school. We can't promise it, but we hope that having a chance to chat, laugh and talk with us might help you to feel a bit less overwhelmed.
