Ep. 79 CF Open + Test Week
Coach Anderson and Coach Rhett dive into the upcoming CrossFit Open. The CrossFit open is CrossFit's annual worldwide competition. Most gyms use this opportunity to come together, test out some tough workouts and see where they stack up in the world.
Altered Gym has a plan for the Open that is detailed in the episode as well as what we are expecting for those "Competing". Altered Gym is also happy to announce our own testing week and in-house competition. There will be much more information to come so keep an eye out.

It's finally here!!! As you know Gem City CrossFit was rebranded to Altered Gym. In this episode, we go through the branding elements that we used to change the look and feel of the gym as well as some of the changes that you'll see more of as time goes on. We wanted to make sure we changed the substance of the gym and not just the look. We really appreciate everyone's continued support throughout this process. RPE - Rate of Perceived Exertion
This can be a tricky subject to tackle as it is variable from person to person. Coach Anderson and Coach Rhett break down what RPE is, how it is useful in gauging workouts, and ways to quantify what exactly RPE is. While RPE isn't a new thing, it isn't often used in the CrossFit space. Diving 101 with OHK Diving
