The three discuss the results of the Gen Z & Millennials: A Perfect Storm – One Year Later, a national survey on young adults from 18-39 years old. This is a follow up to the 2020 report, A Perfect Storm, focusing on the attitudes of Gen Z and Millennials towards the workplace and their personal finances.

The Importance of Cross Generational Action for Change

On the latest episode of Business of Impact, Leslie Crutchfield, executive director of Business for Impact, interviews Dr. Dana Suskind, professor of Surgery and Pediatrics at the University of Chicago; director of UChicago Medicine's Pediatric Hearing Loss and Cochlear Implant program; and founder and co-director of the TMW Center for Early Learning + Public Health at the University of Chicago.


The two discuss some of the ways America can do better at growing and nurturing healthy children. They talk about elevating our expectation for what society can and should do to nurture the next generation and support parents and caregivers in that role as well as Dr. Suskind’s journey into the world of public health and social sciences as a way to help children thrive.


Dr. Suskind shares details on her just-released book, Parent Nation. She says the book is not about changing parenting, it’s about changing our expectations that we have as parents and tearing down unrealistic expectations.

The three discussed the plethora of opportunities to engage in social impact and sustainability that Georgetown offers as well as the growth that is currently underway. They talked about the underlying curiosity of MSB students and how this desire to learn will carry students far after graduation. Dean Grant offers students advice from her over twenty years of experience in the university landscape and answers a series of rapid-fire questions to conclude the episode.
