The Consensus

The Consensus

By Georgetown Bipartisan Coalition

The Consensus Podcast is the Georgetown Bipartisan Coalition's show centered on having political discussions with people with opposing views. Every episode, we'll bring on two different Georgetown students to debate and discuss a political issue they disagree on. We'll also be interviewing professors and other members of the Georgetown community from time to time. We hope that this show will bring about more civil political discourse at Georgetown and be an example of how people from different sides of an issue can come together to talk rationally to one another and solve problems.

Mike Pence's Visit

Mike Pence's Visit

Mike Pence's speech at Georgetown was a controversial event on campus. There were a range of viewpoints, from more conservative students who were thrilled to have their views represented on campus, to those on the left who felt some of the former VP's views should have been disqualifying in having him visit. I sat down with Georgetown student Victoria Davis to get her thoughts, as our discussion covered everything from the specifics of Pence's visit to broader concerns about speech and political diversity at Georgetown.
