My Adventure With My Adventures With Superman
Welcome back to GYCO Tower for episode #94 of the podcast!
This episode Neil tells us all about the brilliant new animated series My Adventures With Superman starring Jack Quaid as the Man of Steel. The series is a serialised coming-of-age story catching up with twenty-somethings Clark Kent, the bright and driven Lois Lane, and their best friend Jimmy Olsen as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet. The story follows Clark as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins. Lois, on her way to becoming a star reporter, teams up with photographer Jimmy Olsen to break the stories that matter. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love… as Lois gets closer and closer to uncovering his secret identity! Our trio share adventures, take down bad guys, stumble over secrets, and discover what it means to be heroes in their own right.
The series premieres with two-episodes on July 6 on Adult Swim in the US. Episodes will also repeat on Toonami and stream via Max. We'll keep you posted on when the series will come to the UK.

Meet the Blue Beetle
Today Warner Bros. has dropped the first trailer for Blue Beetle, the latest DC film and the first big screen outing for the legendary Jaime Reyes. Here, Neil gives us a history of the Blue Beetle and Jaime characters before diving in for a first watch of the trailer and giving us his thoughts.
Blue Beetle is directed by Angel Manual Soto and stars Xolo Mariduena, Susan Sarandon, Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, Adriana Barraza, Elpidia Carrillo, Damián Alcázar, and Raoul Max Trujillo. The film comes to UK cinemas in August 2023.
Exploring The Doom That Came to Gotham

The Flash Trailer Commentary: Uncut, Extended Edition
Welcome back to GYCO Tower for episode #86 of the podcast!
Monday morning we woke up to get our first look at The Flash thank to a huge new trailer which debuted during Sunday night's Super Bowl in the US. We asked Neil to sit down and record a video breaking down all of the biggest moments in the trailer. But what we got was a near 45 minute commentary track which looked at almost every scene in the trailer.

This week we're doing a deep dive in to the latest DC Comics animated movie, Green Lantern: Beware My Power. We're joined by the film's writers, Ernie Altbacker and John Semper, to discuss bringing John Stewart's origin story to the screen.
This week we're also joined by voice actor Jamie Gray Hyder who voices Shayer Hal, aka Hawkgirl, in the film.

Ep 072: Halo Cast Interview, Paramount+ Launch
We're celebrating the UK launch of Paramount+ by talking not one, not two but THREE of their series which are now available to stream. We're talking the kid-friendly Star Trek: Prodigy which brings the legendary Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Voyager) back to the franchise. We're also talking the UK debut of the brilliant Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Then we move on to discuss the adaption of the hugely successful Xbox franchise, Halo and we're joined by two of the series' stars - Pablo Schreiber and Natascha McElhone - alongside executive producer Kiki Wolfkill for an exclusive interview about season one.

Ep 071: DC Showcase Animated Shorts Interviews
We're back after an extended break with a monster of a new episode, packed with special guests. We're celebrating the release of Warner Bros. Animation's new DC Showcase anthology, anchored by Constantine: The House of Mystery. The anthology collects the new Constantine short alongside three other DC Showcase shorts: Kamandi the Last Boy on Earth, Blue Beetle and The Losers.
To celebrate the release we're catching up with anthology producer Rick Morales, writers Ernie Altbacker (Constantine) and Tim Sheridan (The Losers, voice actor Matt Lanter (Blue Beetle) and director Matt Peters (Constantine and Kamandi).

Ep 070: The Batman!
This week we're celebrating our milestone 70th episode with a The Batman special. We're joined by two very special guests in the form of actor Andy Serkis and producer Dylan Clark. Dylan joins us to discuss crafting the grounded reality of Robert Pattinson's new take on Batman whilst Serkis chats about his role as the legendary Alfred Pennyworth.

Martin is back this week after having a birthday break and together with Neil they are rounding up the latest news from the last couple of weeks. Top stories include DC's The World Needs Heroes trailer, the announcement of Disney+'s Star Wars: Obi-Wan premiere and the brand spanking new trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Then we have a review of Sony Pictures latest adventure-epic, Uncharted, which is in UK cinemas now. The film, which stars Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, comes to cinemas in the US on February 18, 2022.

With Martin celebrating his birthday, Neil is flying solo this week as we cover off some of the latest news stories. We’re catching up on the latest trailers and developments from across the Star Trek Universe before diving in to the announcement of two brand new titles from DC Comics.
Then we’re reviewing the latest title from Universal Pictures and Illumination, Sing 2. The film, which reunites the cast of the 2016 original, is currently in UK cinemas.
For the main event we’re joined by not one but two guests to discuss the latest DC Comics animated movie, Catwoman: Hunted. Writer Greg Weisman and voice actor Zehra Fazal drop in to the podcast to discuss their parts in bringing this awesome new movie to the screen.
