how children affect decisions

and how to SPOT THE SIGNS in a man you may know
He also shares his thoughts on dealing with parental alienation and expectations of the courts, the support he received from social cervices and his life now with his girls and his new family.

Listen to the all too common story shared by Laura of how she was to become aware only after the fact, that a former relationship was one that featured domestic abuse.
The signs were subtle, not so dramatic but taken as a whole led to her physical and emotional breakdown, PTSD and ongoing mental health issues.

Alongside the #SpotTheSigns campaign to raise awareness in communities of domestic abuse - Dr Gill interviews Seema Dhanak about how we can offer support to people who are vulnerable in their own homes at this time.
Domestic Abuse crimes have risen since social distancing has been introduced with 14 women and 2 children being killed in the first 3 weeks alone. As we have had to become aware of our own health and wellbeing and more concerned for our loved ones, neighbours, friends and colleagues, this is a good time to think about those that are isolated at home with an abusive or violent family member.
Seema helps us to understand the help available from current support services and what we can safely do as individuals if we have concerns
Please share this episode and listen in if you run a single-sex Facebook group whether it has a business or health and fitness focus

The tables were turned for this podcast where I was interviewed by my colleague and hormone specialist Sally Varley. We had just got to the elephant in the room .... Vaginal Atrophy.
In this second part of 2, we also discuss the risks and benefits of HRT .
"I so wish someone had told me before about this... While it may not be the answer for everyone, I believe it's better than being stuffed with anti-depressants. It was soo relatable (sadly). You're one tough cookie!" Kate
The tables are turned. IN this episode I am interviewed by acupuncturist and hormone health specialist Sally Varley. about my long and difficult journey through the stages of the menopause.
"Thanks, Sally, to you and to your friend in particular. At times I felt as if she was talking to me personally esp when she described the symptoms she went through." Kate
"Gill is very relatable. Really informative and honest. Thank you both." Alida

This was the first ever episode of the Vitality Show I am joined by my special guest, Sheila Balgobin, a native New Yorker. We talk about stress and Sheila shares her thoughts and remedies including her own flower essences. Stay to the end as we talk about dreams too.
An eye-opening episode in the series of Light- Hearted Conversations with People of Significance in which I asked the same questions to over 70 guests. Rachel shares snippets of her journey from the successful entrepreneur and Dragons Den star to personal enlightenment, transformational mentor and co-creator of Source.TV.
We discuss punk music, Steve Jobs, avocados, trauma healing, and so much more.
This is an episode in the series of interviews I held in 2017 based on the format of Desert Island Discs, which is the longest running BBC Radio 4 programme of all time.
I asked the 70 participants the same set of questions and most of the guests were not given any warning as to what was coming. the results are hilarious, illuminating and touching at times.
There is a book published of the same title with the top 48 interviews transcribed which is available on my website www.drgillbarham.com
This is the audio of a series of very short videos which you can find on YouTube - they were recorded in the French Alps and each episode is averaged at 4/5 mins each - best to listen to part one first
When I wrote my first book in 2016, I never expected it to have such an impact on so many people. It was a culmination of all my learnings, experience and research from my work in the field of functional nutrition; using food as medicine and the beginnings of the development of my own holistic mind, body, soul approach to achieving and maintaining optimum health and wellbeing. I hope you enjoy the first few chapters. The book is available on Amazon and on Kindle.
