Carol Bevil is co-founder of Fuel Your Body, Feed Your Soul, a God-first approach to nutrition, body image, and food relationship. FYBFYS is founded on Romans 12:2 and focuses on renewing the mind before transforming the body.
Carol is wife to Chris (23 years), mother to four (Will, 20; Hannah 18; Katherine 13; Olivia 11), personal trainer, cycling performance and nutrition coach, Carol has been in the health and fitness industry for 30 plus years. She holds multiple certifications in cycling, personal training, and nutrition and has dedicated her career helping others believe all things are possible. Years of coaching and seeing the diet and wellness industry become false idols, destroying women’s peace and stealing their joy, led her to create Fuel Your Body, Feed Your Soul: a place where tuesday transformation is uprooted and replaced with the Biblical truth of Romans 12:2.
Carol was raised in a Jewish family, but felt Jesus’s pursuit the whole of her life. Stubborn and willful, she begrudgingly attended church with her husband and constantly pestered the Pastor. One Sunday he challenged her to read the Old Testament and look for Jesus. There He was….on every page. She was baptized at the age of 40 and has spent the last 13 years doing her best to surrender her willful spirit (sometimes multiple times each hour).

People know me as Doris Cush, but my narrative is encapsulated in a tagline. I’m an “Honest Survivor Embracing a Savior Honestly.” As I tackle the tough and tender issues we often face, God allows me to turn obstacles into opportunities and trials into trust-filled moments by sharing P.E.P. Talks. It's His gift of providing Perspective, Encouragement and Peace to life.
This year, I published my latest book, "Word Twist: God's Word Imagined In New Ways" and rolled out a weekly podcast I've aptly entitled "Spur-1-On."
If I'm not encouraging someone on Instagram, I'm working alongside my "right name/wrong guy,” church planting, worship songwriting husband of 23-1/2 years. His name is Dan and I’d love to share that story. And others.
God’s encouragement: Don’t be surprised by His redemption, if you’re willing to wait on His response.
In my late teens, I began speaking for Arizona Right to Life and Crisis Pregnancy Centers following my own “crisis pregnancy.” After I married my husband, Tim, we taught marriage preparation classes for several years and parenting classes at our church for about 12 years. This was an amazing training ground, but my heart yearned for more: to open the Word of God and help bring it to life in the hearts of others. To that end, I received my Master’s Degree in Theology from Life Christian University and began preaching.
For me, to teach God’s Word is to invite the Holy Spirit to speak into people’s lives and to encourage them that they can also hear Him for themselves. To teach is to be ignited with passion and to light the spark in another person so that their hearts burn to know their Abba with unquenchable thirst.
When Ami isn’t writing or preaching, she is usually enjoying her husband, three children and their spouses and her seven (and counting) grandchildren. She is a history buff and often has her nose in a book – always with a cup of tea nearby.
I am a born and raised Texas girl living a Louisiana life. As a wife and mom of three, I feel like the world judges us by unrealistic standards. Teaching, coaching and just living through every day hustle and bustle remind me that standards are subjective. Therefore, I have dedicated this myself to challenging standards and instead embracing yourself for who you are – ordinarily extraordinary.
